Great car, grreat song choice, and great job all around!! Also I dig unlike mosyt poeple 4 HT Impalas and also your im guessing original inside out colors...!!
ya kno....custom autosound makes a restoration looking modern cd setreo system for old chevys. i put one in my 70 nova ss 396. now, i listen to classic rock while i drive my old tyme car lol. u shold try them.
If you look at my video, '64 Impala Tour, you'll see that I have a modern stereo, complete with an iPod jack, hidden under the dash behind a dealer-installed tissue dispenser. The Custom AutoSound decks still don't look like the original factory radios. So I've kept the original Delco AM radio in the dash.
@jwseiberlich Of course you do bro! Thats my illusive dream. Im half blind since born, but been a die hard car guy my whole life, same with most old school music. Man, you know how awsome "Ooo Baby Baby" by Smokey Robinson sounds while cruising the town a hot summer night, in a 64 Impala bright red coupe?
I enjoyed the video. Nicecar too. I love impalas Truly. I'm a GM man as well. I do atm own a 57 fairlane. wellits the Custom, shorter version 2 door. I love drivin it daily to Honor the classics and it makes me feel kinda like your video did. I'll have to make me a vid like that. And of course, site yours, in appretiation of the idea lol. I dont have power steering though. Dont get me wrong... 54000 original miles, it drives VERY well. But that thing looks like it drives like a dream!
It does. Power steering is definitely nice to have in a car this size. My brother-in-law has a '55 Olds 88 without power steering. It's OK driving along, but murder to try to park.
I drive the car enough that I can automatically compensate for the slow-geared steering. It actually has decent feel for an early PS system.
Wow, 175,000 iles on that boat! I didn't think you could put that many on a car like that. Someone must have taken good care of it. I noticed a small rust spot bubbling through near the back door. So minor, though.
Engine was rebuilt in 2000 at 125,000. Mechanically, the car is very solid. There's some surface rust bubbling back up in a few places, but it was a California car, so the rust isn't major.
Very good. The car does sound like it runs good in the video with out the sound track. Sounds like you'll be hanging onto it for a while. Of course, I'm a Buick/Olds/Cadillac person. But, some of those Chevies and Pontiacs are nice.
I bought the car in 1999; had 113,000 miles on it then. Now has 178,000. So I've driven it a lot more than many classic cars are driven. But she's a pleasure to drive, so I do it as often as practical
haha! You drove past my house, I live in those apartments right accrost the street from minto brown. Good song, and i said this on youre "roller coaster road" vid. Nice car!
