This beautiful song only scratches the surface on what The Lord can do in your life; hopefully this is just the first encounter, that ultimately leads to a deeper relationship with Him. The reason this song is healing when other music isn't, is because it has been blessed by Him; the music is merely the transport for His healing touch.

I never understood this song till tonight. I have been struggling with extreme loneliness and depression for the past 6 years (and I'm only 17 years old, mind you) and I had another episode tonight. I never know what I should be doing when I get like this, but God showed me Job 1:20-22 (the passage this song comes from) and reminded me of this song.

I need prayer. I have a porn addiction and it's really starting to annoy me because every day of my life I try to get closer to God(and usually do), but then at the end of the day...BOOM. Everything I worked for flushed down the toilet and I'm left having to ask forgiveness every night. How am I supposed to get closer to God when I can't even break a habbit as simple as masturbation? You're so honest I salute you. Sexual sin is very real and common to Christian people. You are not alone in this battle. I feel like I can relate to you. Pls don't give up on yourself because the Lord never gives up on you...even if it means asking HIS forgiveness every night and everyday, HIS mercy and forgiveness is available every second of our lives. His grace is sufficient for you. It also helps if you confide your struggle to a Christian friend who can pray with you. God bless x

I am 17 years old, I have been going to church for about six years and since then I have been amazed at how God can have such an influence in every person in a different way, be that as a shoulder to cry on, or a guide through the rough times but one thing is the same for every person God loves us all equally because of who we are as indivduals and nothing should change that.

a few weeks ago at a young adults bible study I go to we were talking about how amazing it is God forgives us sooo much&1 of my friends was saying,in order to fully respect&listen to God
we need to first start with respecting&obeying our parents.
I also had many struggles growing up. My uncle is a strong believer and a huge part of his church. He taught me a bit about God and Christianity, and of course, the Bible. I am proud to be saved by the lord. I am good with computers and sound.
I do a variety of work around my church with lighting, sound, and technology in the church. God has something for everyone! Even in the darkest toughest moments, I always had a reminder on my shoulder. God was always there. Even when there was none! AMEN!

I used to always go to church when I was in pre-school. My parents were very involved in church and knew everyone. Then my parents divorced. We didn't go anymore. When I moved in with my aunt and uncle (who are extremely involved- like teaching the kids services, I got back into it all. We just moved away from them again and it is bad again. I try hard to worship, but I am having doubts and I wish I could go to church again. I pray and submerge myself in Jesus. I read the Bible and it is better.

having a life without Christ is something you need to be concerned about, maybe if you've bothered to open up the bible, you will find many accounts of Jesus doing miraculous things and healing people. This song is so true. Many of us forget to bless the Lord when we are going through hard times, and instead moan to him about our problems. I don't want to sound patronising because I also have been guilty of this, it seems to be a natural trait of human beings. Even King David said "My Lord, My Lord why have you forsaken me?" even though God promises to be with us every step of the way. So today as I go about my business, I'm going to try and remember to bless God at every opportunity. Amen.
It sucks that people try to interpret the Bible without trying to get to know the One behind them. It's like trying to get to know someone by reading their e-mails or letters but not actually interacting with them personally.

So one day Job is just walking and a messanger tells him that his house has been burned, his stuff is stolen, and his servants and chidren all died. At this Job falls on the ground, in WORSHIP of god, how even though he know that even though he took this stuff away, God's love is agape, and forever. This song tells us to be like Job.

And i don't see why sex or masturbation would be a sin if it doesn't hurt anybody, i don't follow religion when it makes me feel guilty for no reason, your body belongs to yourself. But if this addiction is a disease, and you feel bad, god could help you not as a judge but as a friend.

I am 17 years old, I have been going to church for about six years and since then I have been amazed at how God can have such an influence in every person in a different way, be that as a shoulder to cry on, or a guide through the rough times but one thing is the same for every person God loves us all equally because of who we are as indivduals and nothing should change that.
God is just awesome and he has helped me get through the rough times and I am not worthy of him! God Bless :D

Hello,im also 13,and i love church,i love God!! I go to church,but my mom doesnt.i wake up on Sunday mornings,i enjoy church,it makes me ecstatic,it makes me so happy!! i have been going to church alone since i've been 7 years.i wish my mom would go,but she doesnt get into the Lord. but my favorite bible verse is "This is the day that the Lord hath made;Let us REJOICE and be GLAD in it" Psalm 118:24.I memorized it because i felt like it. I also had many struggles growing up. My uncle is a strong believer and a huge part of his church. He taught me a bit about God and Christianity, and of course, the Bible. I am proud to be saved by the lord. I am good with computers and sound.
I do a variety of work around my church with lighting, sound, and technology in the church. God has something for everyone! Even in the darkest toughest moments, I always had a reminder on my shoulder. God was always there. Even when there was none! AMEN!

I used to always go to church when I was in pre-school. My parents were very involved in church and knew everyone. Then my parents divorced. We didn't go anymore. When I moved in with my aunt and uncle (who are extremely involved- like teaching the kids services, I got back into it all. We just moved away from them again and it is bad again. I try hard to worship, but I am having doubts and I wish I could go to church again. I pray and submerge myself in Jesus. I read the Bible and it is better.

This song is so true. Many of us forget to bless the Lord when we are going through hard times, and instead moan to him about our problems. I don't want to sound patronising because I also have been guilty of this, it seems to be a natural trait of human beings. Even King David said "My Lord, My Lord why have you forsaken me?" even though God promises to be with us every step of the way. So today as I go about my business, I'm going to try and remember to bless God at every opportunity. Amen.

It sucks that people try to interpret the Bible without trying to get to know the One behind them. It's like trying to get to know someone by reading their e-mails or letters but not actually interacting with them personally.
I hope people will get to know God for himself and that they can then read the Bible in an entirely fresh light.

There's something about Matt Redman that makes these songs that much more powerful. I'm not saying that these songs are not powerful with the words spoken in itself, just that when he sings its rather amazing. God is our savior, and its good to know that people are willing to sing songs that speak of the Lords goodness. I know for a fact that I would much rather listen to music like this than what I hear on the radio these days...

The Lord loves you. Please I encourage you in whatever hurt you are feeling, do not late it turn to hate towards God. Nor deny that you are hurt and angry with Him. Talk to him about it, cry with him, cry to him...talk to others. Please do not keep it bottled up it will only eat you up and make you bitter towards him. and that will only alienate you from who He is...the source of your spiritual life.

i used to go to Sunday Church.. my family didnt like it. but i went anyways. i was so close to Him. and since i have moved i have only been getting further and further from him. like.. i just went thru a bad depressed stage.. and i thought of my Christian Family.. and almost immediatly felt better.

So one day Job is just walking and a messanger tells him that his house has been burned, his stuff is stolen, and his servants and chidren all died. At this Job falls on the ground, in WORSHIP of god, how even though he know that even though he took this stuff away, God's love is agape, and forever. This song tells us to be like Job.
