  • is this TAS or real console

  • Part of me kinda wishes someone would make another 2d NinJa Gaiden game. Something more along the lines of a Metroid/Castlevania only faster paced and more difficult. That'd be gaming heaven right there.

  • Wow

  • you mus be asian

  • I still consider this as the best ninja gaiden game ever!

  • man the music was so much better in part one

  • NG finally went the way of the cheese with moving platforms and the cliche lava chase. They kept it grounded (for the most part) in I & II. Too bad.

  • why does the music sound way suckier on the snes?

  • hly shit dude, holy shit

  • This player's timing with the jumps are ridiculous!

  • In my best time, when i was 14 years old, i walkthrough this game with 2 lives

  • Respect bro, some serious skill

  • You are the slowest

  • This game is one of the most challenging and insanely difficult games on the NES. Every move takes timing and precision. For you to have the level of skill it takes to do a speed run on this bad mofo of a game, you must have incredible dexterity, unlimited patience, and big brass balls the size of coconuts. I salute you!

  • wow I have to hold my breath at so many close calls lol good job

  • This game was incredibly difficult for me.

  • You're crazy

  • Fuck this game.

  • This one has voice overs huh? they don't sound bad actually.

  • If you aren't using an emulator and save states then you sir are a GOD!!!!

Please donate your thumbs to science.

  • He's using a tool assisted program. If you look at 5:32, Ryu steps off the platform but doesn't die and somehow bounces off the air to the next platform. Also, non-tool assisted speed runs aren't successfully done without the character being hit at least a few times.

  • @Rawk4Life First off, you're an idiot. 2nd off, many nintendo games feature walking from platform to platform without jumping, such as mario, legend of zelda, and the infamous spot in TMNT 1.

  • @Rawk4Life Lol are you serious bro?

  • @keno3210 are a chuck norris

  • @keno3210 bad attitude

  • lol at someone thinking syxx is a robot.

  • i just started doin this and i can beat the game about this fast but at 1 mins 45 46 seconds u run into the shooting thing and no health oes away thats bull if u go into anything a little bit like that u will get health takin away and the first boss i can beat much faster than that

  • 2:15 I see wat u did thar... :D

  • Really nice job though, I have never even beaten this game... D:

  • what did he do at 2 15 he ducked a few times whats that do

  • trying to dance to the BGM

  • also to try to kill time while the screen scrolls up

  • yeah thats amazing if a person is really doing that incredible

  • thats not a human playing that game there is no one that can do that this is one of the hardest games ever to be made thats a generated computer knowing exactly what to do when the bad guys are gonna come out where there gonna move at the exact millisecound and exactly what weapon to get at that right time impossible for a human being to do what this just did

  • this game is well over 15 years old, it's all memorization and patterns over the period of less than 20 minutes but it can take a lot of attempts to get a good enough video in my opinion to put up

  • @syxx573 I couldn't agree more. When it first came out for the NES, I was tearing my hair out trying to finish Mega Man 2. Then I realized that it was all about memorizing the levels and the enemies and developing a pattern. In that sense, you basically "solve" the puzzle that the game developers put forth. I have to give you mad props for having the skill to "solve" this game. Well done!

  • oh also i don't play a lot of new games, mostly old nes games so i'm good at a few of them but my selection is very limited, but i try to learn a new game every once in awhile but I've played all the NG games anywhere from 100 to 200 times

  • @syxx573 I so hear you on that, mate. I'm a retro gamer myself; still playing and buying the older stuff. I told myself the future can wait.

  • @syxx573 i believe you brah i can mimic you up until the two frog bosses than i get stuck lol

  • @jayr922

I don't do it quite the same way this did, and didn't watch it the whole way through, but I guarantee that it is possible to learn to play this game perfectly. Except for a handful of instances every single thing is absolutely predictable. 3 months of playing this game to game over every day and I had learned to play it like a song - beating it consistently without ever stopping or ever getting hit. It just takes a lot of practice and really good muscle memory.

  • @jayr922 or maybe your just terrible at video games; ever draw that conclusion?

  • @jayr922 It's a normal play. The guy is really good, but not perfect. If you would look at 7:05 (stage 4-2A) you will notice that he is wasting time by waiting next to spikes for them to hide. You can actually time properly your moves by jumping on top of spikes while they are still visible for them to hide while you are in mid-air.

I'm not claiming that I'm better than the guy, but I can see weaknesses here and there, which proves to me that he is just a normal person.

  • @jayr922 looking at stage 3-1, where he misses a sword swipe, discredits that theory. this guy mustve put hours and hours into getting this good, don't try and diminish his awesome, albeit highly nerdy, achievement xD

  • Amazing!! I remember never passing Act 4, and you did it with out a scratch. Flawless Victory FTW!!!!

  • I love this game, I have all 3 for the NES at home :) I can speed run the second in 30 minutes

  • r u asian???

  • no, but i'm white as rice

  • hahah, that's funny as hell :). I guess since you are so good at playing video games, you must be Asian LOL!!

  • stupid youtube servers. the video dosent start.

  • alright in all seriousness; WELL DONE.

THAT, is gaming. Even among old timer late 20 somethings like us, you just don't see skill like that anymore. It used to be common, gamers used to not complain about difficulty or lack of hand holding.

with exceptions like Devil May Cry 3, and the new Ninja Gaidens, few games are challening anymore, or offer a "zen" experience like this.

  • old timer at late 20s!! dude, i would hate to see how you are going to feel when you do get old. I'm 34 and love to play games. Age ain't nothing but a number :).

  • ya just now i'm learning how to play donkey kong (arcade)

  • Well, from the first Atari, to the Xbox 360, that is like 7,000 years passing the technology has moved so fast. Sorry its just that gaming really makes you feel your age; you're right, chronologically, 10 years is in fact shit numbers, especially to older folks, however in gaming years that number is HUGE. Just consider 1999 compared to now; the leap, has been astronomical.

  • Also just my personality; I'm one of those "old children" people.

I'm 28 going on 70, but sometimes I'm 28 going on 7. Sometimes I'm more "old man" than "kid" though.

  • Oh yeah one more thing; video games are pretty popular with the WWII generation last I heard. A lot of those old timers tear it up in FPS games. lol. though it should come as no surprise I guess....

  • that's not fair dude.

its just not fair. You're a ninja; most of us did not have the benefit of being raised by a ninja clan you know!

    fuck you!

  • Damn, I'll never be that skilled! I have no idea if this is a great accomplishment or a severe lack of accomplishment.

  • nonsense; just relax and enjoy the game.

"zen" comes on its own if you just focus on noncompetitive fun.
