i am from otley i rembmber passing this firm at rodley on my way to bramley on a regular run to load for london when did they shut ? about 5 years ago . it always seemed a busy yard . i am in to ih bradford built trators we had a fair lot of engineereing in this aarea .

Yes, That part of Yorkshire made a massive contribution to engindeering in it's day and it's tragic that all that industry has gone for ever.

Years ago I had a employer with 4 floating cranes from Smith, 1x Smith 26 and 3 x smith 40,
There are rather find little to no information about these dragline's

Leuk dat ik dat nog eens tegenkom. Een dragline van Smith.
Ooit eens bij een wergever gezeten die er 4 had. 1x een Smith 26 en 3 x smith 40.
Er is vrij weinig tot geen info te vinden over dit merk.
