Trying to get the final relic but after I light up all the blue things and go swing on the rope, the waterfall is still going and I can't get to the relic. Is it timed?

Actually, it's hold g then press e, and keep doing that. It'll make fighting many enemies much easier.

At 2:19, on this video, try using G & E for all the enemies, before they get too close, save you some health.
