So i tried this and i keep having the problem that Cole train gets on the turret and kills a few guys and i can't get up to x10 i always get stuck around x9

Do you have it set to insane? Cause the bots kill less locusts on higher difficulties.

I used this method (and it works perfect), but now I have multiple King of Cog medals (it mentions a number underneath the medal), anyway to fix that?

Not that I know of. Most people would like to see a number underneath the medal to show they prestiged in that area kind of like in Call of Duty, but ya if your personal preference is to not have a number there then idk what to tell you :P

@kacyraye The point is that I don't think there should be a number underneath saying how many times I've gotten the medal. Though there has to be something programmed in-game for it, because otherwise it would be extremely strange.

Yes it does.

Depending on the difficulty it'll multiply your final points by 1, 1.5, 2, or 2.5.

If you hit pause right after the game calculated your points you should've been fine.

But then again, this glitch could be patched right now.

And no, difficulty doesn't affect the multiplier, I checked.

BUT the bots (cole, baird, or whoever's fighting w you), kill a lottt more of the locusts compared to when you plan on insane.

So if they're killing more locusts, that's less kills that go towards your multiplier because your multiplier only goes up if you get the kill.

Technically, the multiplier is not affected by the difficulty setting, but indirectly it is because of the bots.

i play on act 2 chapter 7 and use the same method for afficianado. it gets you 160000-180000 in 2:50

Well if you do it this way it only takes 4 minutes for 550k points on average.

At least that's what I was getting.

But for aficionado you should prolly check out my other video. Do it on act 2 chapter 2 because there's a random checkpoint just before the end of the chapter.

Ya this chapter gets glitchy sometimes. Like sometimes the the 3rd wave of maulers won't come or the grinders get stuck outside so i'm sure if the fuel tank didn't drop it's just a glitch.

And no, the difficulty doesn't affect the multiplier. I actually forgot to mention that in the vid so thanks for reminding me.

and your method is 10 minutes sped up i don't even want to know how long it takes regular speed. its much more than 4 minutes..

Completing the whole chapter one time, yes, it does take more than 10 minutes.

But once you start doing the glitch of reloading the checkpoint at the end, it only takes 3 to 4 minutes to complete, which is either shorter or just as long as your method. The only difference is the massive point difference.

my method doesn't use insane as the difficulty that's the point....... on casual it takes under 2 minutes is easier and still earns 200,000 plus. Get your facts straight before you post.

The way you do it takes longer too yeah you get 500,000 but it takes you 10 minutes i get 200,000 and it takes less than 2 so in 10 minutes i get 800,000.....

I can tell you didn't confirm this before you commented.

I just went back on my original video and slowed everything back down to regular speed.

Using your method takes about 4 minutes (on insane difficulty with mutators).

Using my method, you can shoot the fuel tank after getting your x10 multiplier and finish in 3 minutes.

Or you finish off the rest of the locusts and complete it in 4 minutes.

Basically, my method takes about the same time and gets more points.

your version doesn't give you the number 1 medal and with it set to insane yes you might get more points but its easy to get killed and it takes longer so you risk losing survivalist and force multiplier....

And setting to an easier difficulty is common sense if you can't handle insane.

If you felt you had to make a video to tell everyone you can play on an easier difficulty to make it easier, well that's on you.

I didn't approve his video response because he does the exact same glitch that I do except he kills all 3 waves of maulers only allowing him to finish the chapter with about 150k points.

If you do exactly what I do in this video you can finish with 550-600k points, not to mention start off with about 270k points everytime you reload the checkpoint which is already more than his 150k method.

I pick Insane.

And yes, Casual multiplies your final point total by 1.0

Normal multiplies it by 1.5

Hardcore by 2.0

and Insane by 2.5

I also use the "infinite ammo," "super reload," and "no ammo pick ups" mutators which multiply the final point total by 0.25, 0.25, and 1.1.

2.5(insane difficulty) x 0.25(infinite ammo mutator) x 0.25(super reload mutator) x 1.1 (no ammo pick ups mutator) = 1.5

This is why I end up getting about 600k points even though i finish the chapter with 400k.
