  • The 09 Focus RS's had low power due to a problem with the ECU programming (which was related to some of the cars with exploding inlets). A new power calibration and the newer cars all have the proper power. I've seen 3 standard cars dyno at over 310bhp.

  • @grahamek86 can you explain more for me?

  • probably because the results are embarassing ;) most rs focus are around the 275 mark not the 305bhp that ford claimed lol

  • @johnjackson12 yes 275 mark at wheel .305 bhp has the engine but power is lost in the tranny before going to the wheel

  • @datedraq

No not at the wheels, most produce 275bhp at the flywheel which is why they arnt as quick as they should be ;) Have a look at the mega hatch shootout by evo magazine, they compare all the latest hot hatches. The new megane 250 actually produced 268bhp, the new golf gti mk6 produced 229bhp when book said 207bhp, focus rs produced 274bhp...

Rapid GB have yet to dyno a focus RS with the full 300+bhp. I love the focus RS (i won a mk1) but its dissapointing its so low on power

  • @johnjackson12 well the engine prob is 300 hp but the whp wold b round the 270hp

  • Why do people go to all the effort of filming a dyno test and then not bother posting the results?

  • @wrightman90 yea that realy pisses me off as well

  • @wrightman90 I was about to ask the same fucking question. It's ridiculous !!

  • ¿?
