  • I bought a Presonus Inspire 1394 firewire interface about 2 or 3 years ago from sweetwater. normally $200 bucks but it had a blemish you can hardly see so I got it for $100. has two mic inputs and two guitar inputs and has been a real work horse and still sounds amazing. Guitar Center has the worst staff. I said excuse me sir to one of there guys to ask him a question and he walked right passed me like he didnt hear me but it was obvious he did. sweetwater has the best service and knowledge.

  • @dmannion81 In my experience, they just wanted my money. The other issue I had was I bought a mic from them, never opened it, took it back a few weeks later and they didn't want to give me a refund. Been buying gear on Ebay but I'm going to give sweetwater a shot.

  • I sent a friend the link to your vid here and he said that he had the same problems with that unit. The shop he bought it from replaced it real fast and said to keep it hooked up to his recording gear. His recording gear is off the hook with racks and amps everywhere ya look. Miles of cable on the floor making for tripping hazards with every step. I have no knowlage of firewire stuff. All my gear is stand alone or USB. Liked the SHTF vid and the advice about nutrients. Thanx...

  • @coal4life Thanks. I'm of the opinion that you don't need all that gear to make damn good music. My whole studio cost about $1000 including a quad core!

  • @paullie6719 I have the same opinion. I learned the heard way though wasting money. some products are just overkill.
