I'm sure I came across it in the rules but I couldn't find it anywhere. Are there rules for or against trading resources and power plants with other players?
True...Scott, please, have this guy go home...I'm not devaluating his ability to create a game, but he sucks big time explaining the game...plus the german accent...tough to understand...
As much as I like BGWS, I am glad you didn't keep up with this format; especially since after 18 or so minutes with the designer, you still need to have an addendum explanation afterwards. I like some of Friedemann's games, but I find he's as dull as dishwater in this interview- the only thing interesting about him is his haircolor, which seems to match his box covers far too often. If you only listen to this, it sounds like S. Baron Cohen's character Bruno is explaining it to you...

I normally love the videos scott puts up, but this german guy is just horrible at explaining. Hes probably related to the same guy who designed the rules for this game, which were the absolute worst rules ever for a board game. Furthermore you cant understand this guy. Hes too nervous and comes off like an idiot. You shouldve got a better guy to explain this scott. Thumbs down buddy.
@snicholson - I appreciate you puttin this up because after I read the rules, for like 3 hours, I watched this vid and made more sense, mostly when scott was explaining. I dont understand the arrogance of game designers. Why dont they include a practice game written in the rules so its much less frustrating to learn? Puerto Rico is the only game ive ever seen do this. Its true the devil is in the details.

Power Grid is one of the best games I have ever played. It is fantastically difficult to explain, I've tried. But simply by playing it you quickly pick it up. It is very well designed, with the player in last spot getting an advantageous position helping that person catch up. It is also entirely dependent on your strategy, there is little element of chance to it. They guy who introduced us to it won the first time, but he has never won since. That is the mark of a good game.
Mr Nicholson you are a legend!!!! This tutorial was brilliant and very helpful i didn't have a clue what was going on until i watched it. This game is up there with Puerto Rico for the best i've played!
that guy's accent is exactly like "bruno"'s

@kfactor404 No, trading isn't part of this game.
That said, it is your toy, so if you and your group want to trade, go for it!

We really love this game, and it's great hearing the designer talking about the game! Thanks for doing an episode on Power Grid!

Friese seems like a pretty cool guy and I like to hear him speak, but I didn't get any information on how to play this game from his "explanations".

@THREADSTER12 That is the person who created the game. For a while, I was trying these designer interviews, but I haven't done that in a long time.

Comfort.
Why would you wear clothing with a tight seam right in the area where you don't want a tight seam?

@BertisWorldYT I think it's reasonable to think that you'll get away with calling skirts feminine, tbh. :P
