Avery... I remember first time I saw him. In a documentary who was showing 9/11 was outside job (of islamists). The reporter told him that an important expert (engineer or scientists) was against his ideas.

I don't think the government had major involvement in 911, but they surely saw it coming and stood back and watched. A lot of the financial evidence proves to that also. He's contested that the chemical compounds found in after 9/11, which were proven to be highly explosive, come from a paint company. If Popular Mechanics wants a real debate, they should debate Steve Jones, Richard Gage, David Griffin. or any of the more qualified researchers who have shown the official account to be ridiculous.

The holes in the 9/11 conspiracy theory are massive, and are constantly avoided by ignorant theorists across the country. For instance, the fact that the hundreds of people on ground level attested to seeing two airliners crash into the towers - and nothing more. Theorists like to make up little stories about how "everyone at ground zero said they saw explosions at the base of the towers". It's complete horseshit. Not to mention the planes were full of real, living people.

@davethehostage explain the evidence of explosives in the dust from ground zero? Explain why the 2 110 story skyscrapers were turned to dust? Why did all the 3ft thick steel support columns buckle at the same time so the towers could fall so symmetrically? Why did building 7 fall if it only a few fires burning in it? Explain why Bush wasn't taken out of the school in FL as soon as it happened? He stayed 1hr and his location had been known for months? How did they know he wasn't a target?

I don't want to get emotionally involved. I think that 9-11 was an inside job. My father, an engineer of 25 years told me so the day it happened. He said "it was the CIA". I didn't believe him at the time but I do now. I like AlienScientist's video on 9-11. I think this debate comes down to trust of the government vs mistrust of the government. People are just taking sides, look up in-group mentality in terms of sociology. What can you do.

No steel building has ever collapsed from fire until 3 of them did on 9/11. For a building to collapse in this fashion the core columns need to be severed at the bottom, hence the explosions and thermite found in the basement levels.
Iron oxide thermite reaction: 2500 °C 4500 °F will do the job easily.

@voiceofreason467 No doubt - some believe so strongly that the U.S. military committed 911 that they are quick to ignore counterarguments. I use to believe the official argument that terrorist were responsible for 911. But I have learned a long time ago not to allow sentimentality to override my judgment. In analyzing large amounts of video evidence and arguments on both sides, I have come to realize that the official story is extremely flawed. The truth is not pretty but it is the truth.

It's interesting that Avery criticizes the NIST report (which is thousands of pages long) for not being conclusive enough when the only thing the 911 truth movement has produced is a cluster of amateurish documentaries that contain almost nothing but hearsay and speculation.

As far as these Popular Mechanic guys go, they are nothing but corporate shills who are misleading the public with false information. And the biggest lie they get caught in, which is almost embarrassing to watch is them claiming that the 9/11 commission report states that the tower beams "melted", which is clearly a lie. And they STILL kept saying this even after they got called on their bullshit in this video.

@SnakeSSSStretcher yeah flouride is a conspiracy. It's been in the water supply of birmingham in the uk for decades, a city which happens to have some of the best dental health in the country. At the end of the day, if a dog eats a tube of tooth paste, it will die, yet my dogs fine drinking flouridated water as is everyone else's. Plus surely you use flouride toothpaste? Everyone does, face it many minerals and vitamins are beneficial in small doses, but poisonous at high levels.
