I grew up in a household of poor hair dressers. I lived in an apartment growing up. Neither of my parents have any money and I recieved nothing from the Government. I managed to pay my way through and graduate from college and paid cash for my house in 2001 and I'm a Republican. If I can do it, anybody can!
No, that's the point--not everyone can. Everyone is not you, and you are not everyone. Different circumstances apply to different people. Lots of people need a helping hand. They need encouragement, they need to know that people care about them, their children, their future. Not everyone comes from such a caring household.
The point is also that not everybody that can does. Also, the more government helps the more the people who can won't. Government helping all that claim they can't will bankrupt the country making it impossible for the one who can and will. Poeple that can make must have the incentive to do it and that will leave enough money and the mechanism to generate money (tax revenue) for all those who truely can't (blind, deaf, disaster victums, mentally ill etc.)
That's why the system needs to be smart. We're not talking blind handouts here. I'm confident that through bipartisanship we can create a system that really works, without damaging the force of incentive that keeps our economy healthy.
We won't be able to do it with Obama's $1 trillion in new spending. It won't be bipartisanship because the Democrats will push it through. What people need to do is stop living beyond there means on credit cards and start to practice self-sufficiency.

The sheer amount of money the government will need to spend to fix all these problems does worry me, though. Voting twice in two states is easy with this early voting going on! States don't coordinate with other states. When you go and vote you don't have to show and identification like a driver's licence, all you need to tell them is am address that matches the records. Voter fraud is very easy to commit. That's only a small part of the reason the credit crisis happened. An entire market can't collapse just because of unpaid loans; the culture of greed in Wall Street also contributed, along with a string of poorly-conceived deregulatory laws since Reagan's administration. The meltdown is far too complicated to summarize in so few words, but suffice it to say the circumstances which led to the collapse were multifarious and, really, reached across all sides of the political spectrum.

The internet bubble was part of the reason the Clinton economy was so good--not the entire reason. His centrist tax policy was also a major boon. While it's true that America has relatively high corporate rates, these are often evaded by exploiting legal loopholes. And what makes it so that when rich people get more money, they'll be more productive with it, but when poor people get more money they'll just waste it? Stop generalizing about the spending habits of people you know little about.

Voter registrations does not equal actual voter fraud. ACORN is required by law in most states to hand in even obviously fake registrations, and even then they flag them as such. Plus, how many people are really going to come into the polls as "Mickey Mouse"? The idea that voters would do so in any significant numbers is manifestly ridiculous. And at least Clinton tried to catch bin Laden. Bush sat on his ass and ignored briefings for months before 9/11, despite Clinton's attempts to ready him.

The people who register voters are paid by number of registrations. So they will try to register as many people as they can. If some people decide to goof around and sign their name as "Mickey Mouse," it's not the register's fault. Besides, faulty registrations don't lead to actual voter fraud. So it's not a scam at all. Crybaby conservatives, in their quest to grasp at straws, have been blowing this so-called "scandal" completely out of proportion.

Voter fraud is serious business and has happened before. For example, JFK won the election with Nixon because people corrupt politicians and mobsters in Chicago registered dead people to vote. Also, during this election I can garantee that poeple registered in there own states and crosses state lines in battle ground states and when to relative's homes and registered in battle ground states and voted twice for president. This is especially easy with the early voting going on.

I don't think they have, ACORN will never be fully investigated. They are not interested in registering Republicans. ACRON is only interested in registering liberal democrats. The will never investicate ACRON fully because they know that they will find many illegal aliens and they don't want to do that. Also, they don't want to question Obama's victory. For liberal Democrats, Obama must be considered successful and right no matter if he is or not because their whole belief set is based on it.

ACORN isn't "interested" in registering any party, because they have to register anybody who requests it. It's not their fault that for most of the poor people they register, voting Democrat is directly in their favor. If you want to court the votes of the poor, how about offering an economic platform that isn't 100% against them? As for your assertion that Obama is above criticism among liberals, that simply isn't true. We don't slavishly adhere to the party line like conservatives often do.

I grew up in a household of poor hair dressers. I lived in an apartment growing up. Neither of my parents have any money and I recieved nothing from the Government. Government helping all that claim they can't will bankrupt the country making it impossible for the one who can and will. Poeple that can make must have the incentive to do it and that will leave enough money and the mechanism to generate money (tax revenue) for all those who truely can't (blind, deaf, disaster victums, mentally ill etc.)

Voting twice in two states is easy with this early voting going on! States don't coordinate with other states. When you go and vote you don't have to show and identification like a driver's licence, all you need to tell them is am address that matches the records. Voter fraud is very easy to commit. I suspect it happened in this election. No one is really going to make and effort to check because everyone is affraid to question Obama's election because of political correctness!

Largest Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Lehmann Brothers political contributions by far went Chris Dodd, Obama, John Kerry, and Barney Frank among other democrats. No I enjoy the video because its fun. I vote because eight years of Republican rule have seen the US become the most hated nation in the world, with our armies trapped in sandboxes unable to defind ourselves properly with our economy rapidly catching on fire.
Republicans caused the Great Depression and Reaganomics caused the 87 Stock Market crash.
Democrats won World War I and World War II. Republicans lost North Korea and lost both North and South Vietnam. Sounds like a loser party to me.
