There are thousands of miles of oil pipe already covering that aquifer and no one has been harmed from it as of yet. The vast majority of cars in America don’t run on “alternative energy” they run on gasoline. Groceries don’t get to the store on belief they get they on diesel.

It would run on whatever your local power plant runs on. Could be coal, oil hydro or nuclear power. Bet you didn’t think of that did you?

I am sure that we will come up with a replacement for crude oil I just don’t know when that is. People have been looking for a cure for cancer for a long time now and though many breakthroughs have been made it has yet to materialize. Also, its not the Fed Govs place to “invest money” into private ventures (Solyndra).
