I HATE how Simon was in the 60's version, they didn't do him justice. He just stands still most of the time, staring into space and speaking softly and he walks slowly and then backwards! I know he's pretty quiet but they made him 100x creepier then he actually is.
its so sad how he could predict or visualise so many thing and he even new somthing was going 2 happen 2 him but he just didnt no it would b his death or did he?
the end is a mix of random and signification...( i like the surrealism, and the last video is "un chien andalou" by the spanish Bunuel, and Dali plays inside.) according to me, simon represents childhood (innocence, and structured by rules). its the death of the of child's immortality's figure. i think each person is controled by his animal impulses, and that is the inner nature of human, which predominate someday, when he feels lost...
it's my favorite book too.its the predecessor of battle royale...i like this atmospher: children lost in an isle, left to their own devices...
i like this episod because from this moment, the children become savage, they find their primal origin, venerating the violence's god. ( i had forgotten to put the picture of pig's head, too bad - -'')
i dont no if my coment posted so im goner say it again your vid is amazin i give it 5 stars lotf is my faverate book and simon is my fave character.its funny wat u can do with a cheap 1960 indie film!
btw wat was with the ending was it sposed 2 represent somthing or was it just randon!
You have to understand the book doesn't go much into the outside world(intended). Slowly(but at an increasing rate), the boys forget there old lives, moral, civilization etc and degenerate further and further into savageness. When the boys see the naval officer, they are shocked and confused because they completely forgot they even wanted to be rescued.
They slipped so deeply, that they didn't even realize the horrible things they were doing(Simon and Piggy deaths, the only two people who didn't lose their minds) and they all cry in shame.
jesus now I'm gonna cringe for the next 5 days from the eyeball scene

This is terrifying.
Wow.
Great video, though.
