Good video. Hi Dave - I do hiking X (my term) and cycling X sometimes. The key for me is to use a heart rate monitor and make sure I'm working at a similar or intensity level as the X workout I'm replacing. Usually plyo or kenpo.
Ultimate frisbee... look up the rules to the sport... its amazing replacement work out... the throwing take skill to master... but it is as much running as in soccer... and it is lots of fun... i would give it a try...
Usually i like to mix in HIIT instead of Plyo and Yoga and kenpo because I am a soccer referee and I have to be able to run for about 2 to 3 hours out there with small breaks in between!!
@DeakaeD You've got to have fun too, right? I'm using Insanity to further my cycling and triathlon now. Works really well, and I think it is more fun.
on a day i missed the scheduled workout i went out and built a retaining wall, got in my back muscles from digging the ditches, arms worked out with the bricks. good stuff, and productive, not just for my body, but for the yard.
There you go. Great example. The key is intensity. The gauge is soreness. I bet your back was feeling pretty tight the day after that wall. And, like you said, you got a wall out of it!!!

That's a pretty good replacement workout!

@bennyeliuth20 that is exactly what I am doing, and I think this gives better results anyway than standard P90X
