This was sad, but you understand it in some manner, because Sy felt as part of the family and he wanted to correct the affair committed by the father, so it does not becomes scary if you think about it that way, he's just "uncle Sy" trying to help them become united again, and that's what the detective understands when he hands him the pictures at the end.

I think its his best performance ever. Another fun guy Jim Carrey tried pulling off a serious acting aswell in "23" but he failed imo. Robin however completely sold me the role as Sy. Captivating story and thrilling end title song.

One of the most underrated psychological horror films. The ending was very sad and heart wrenching. I felt sorry for Sy just because he seemed like such a real person and very sympathetic character. They didn't make him out to be some archetypal villain or lonely loser.

I can't call it masterpiece but it was really great movie. Robin Williams showed great acting. Connie Nielsen, Michael Vartan and Dylan Smith were awesome as well. Robin knows how to play bad guys. I still can't forget his villain Finch from Insomnia.
