upgraded to 8 gb no problem till now. :) macbook white 2009 late. I know it support unto 4gb but it wasn't available for me so I upgraded it to 8gb.

@DarkMaltaknight yea its working great I don't saw any problem, I even got Windows 7 installed over Parallels which I gave 4 GB and Mac get remaining 4GB (i.e I am using around 5-6GB Ram full utilization of RAM without paging). Only thing I noticed was not much geek bench score improvement for memory using 2GB and snow leopard against 8GB and Lion(after upgrade).

@CowHoofOnAHotPlate It's as easy as taking your shoes off and touching the grass outside with your bare feet. ;] A friends dad was telling me about how the US gov. had to develop methods of "grounding" to fight off the russians microwave assaults back in the cold-war. There's a cool book about it called "Earthing." But basic idea is our bodies are electrical, and to get the right signals sent to cells... touching the highly electrically charged earth is enough to keep us in homeostasis.

I suggest crucial.com to buy ram, it is good and compatible ram. From the website you can scan your macbook and it will tell you what ram to buy and up to how much ram you can upgrade. It is a great website.

The RAM is warranted by the place you buy it from and installing RAM yourself will not affect your Mac's warranty.
