Actually I think they'd feel a bit better. John McCain was a much more credible leader for the U.S. on the world stage than Obama. When working as an IMF consultant he requested and received additional funds to pay his U.S. tax liability on money earned. He pocketed the cash and did not pay the taxes. He owed 2001-2004 . When approached by the IRS he paid 2003 and 2004. He did not pay 2001-2002 because statutes of limitations was up for them. He moved to pay them out of a "change of heart" when Obama appointed him.

those were the 2004 numbers, not 2008. much hullabaloo was made about how 'close' the election was when it really wasn't. in 2008, it was a "landslide" when it really wasn't. your media pundits just like to change the stats. if 28-22 is a "landslide" then bush won by a landslide in 2004. i'd hardly call 10 million people "decisively defeating" out of 300 million, it's 3 %. he's the president, and he'll get a fair shot from me, but he's on a pretty short 'leash', too.

I didn't vote for the guy but he isn't the one that started us down this dark path... (specifically three of his predessors)but both parties and houses. We have forgotten the Constitution and our nation will look different than it is today but there is a chance to save some of it... if we adhere to the Constitution.

It is a bit ironic that the person who will be the ultimate authority over the IRS tried to dodge taxes. When he was working as an independent contractor with the IMF he requested and received additional monies to pay his U.S. taxes. Instead of paying what he owed, he pocketed the money. Would Joe Biden consider this to be a patriotic act? To confirm this guy would be to set a bad example for the rest of us that are honest and do pay our taxes.

Although I thought McCain was not my choice for the Republican nominee, and though McCain would require us to fight him to a degree as well, there is NO question that McCain is the better American, the more patriotic American, the far better man for the job.
Obama's inexperience and ego are going to get him, and America, into a lot of trouble.
Do not think for one second that all of this hero-worship and religious fervor surrounding his election hasn't gone to his head. Of course it has.

Obama will run up the biggest deficit in history. The dollar won't be worth anything after all the money the feds will print to pay for his bailouts, handouts, tax cuts

Actually I think they'd feel a bit better. John McCain was a much more credible leader for the U.S. on the world stage than Obama. Don't get me wrong - I think Obama is well liked, but I also think there is a perception that he will make America a weaker, more humble force in the world. The U.S. will go along more with what the UN wants will be much more into appeasement. So I think some Democrats would have at least felt OK with an "adult" in charge (McCain).
