  • I'm Khaliji and i assure u this has nothing 2 do with Khaliji dance or music :I

  • Qual o nome desta música? Ela é linda.

    email - elmalimapinheiro@gmail.com

    Obrigada

You are my sponsor section when Saar Gulf Hellerqs stomach Taala Stales type dance Indian dance convinced MOB Gulf Nsaab hehehehe

  • Fascinating music, the rhythm etc. Super controlled dance by an expert.

  • FAIL

  • She´s not doing any khaleegy´s movement. and the Tobe is so transparent.

  • @madkitty16 I agree about the khaleegy movements, the rhythm pattern is wrong for Khaleegy.

What drives me crazy when you order a thobe, sometimes that is all that the retailer sells. Now my thobe is a bit more opaque, but someone may find fault with it! Point being that is all there is to purchase-----I can not sew!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think This is not khaneegy. It`s wrong.

    She must study Arabian culture.

  • ya rayah is not a rai song, this is shaabi from Algiers. Rai music is a mix from traditionnal algerian music (berber allaoui from Wahran and surroudings) with shaabi and classical maghreb music as andalousian and melhoun.

  • Comment removed

  • This is an algerian music, the dance which is khaliggy, does not fit at all with this music. As a dancer, you have to know more about the different cultures in what we call the arab area. It is not because the music is in arabic, that we have to dance in any arabic or other dance. There is a lot of people, languages, regions etc with their own culture. The khaliggy is one culture, and the algerian culture is an other totally different. It is like dancing tango on salsa music. This is meaningless.

  • @suheirzaki

    this is not algerian ......

    this is chinese ,,,,,,,,,,,,im joking

yes ....she cant dance (khaleeji bellydance on this music ) this rai music

its ancient andulasian music invented by the arabs .( al kindi and al asahani)

they were originaly from arabia .

+ this music feet ( rahala bellydance )

  • @suheirzaki Yes, I totally agree with you. The belly dancer in this video doesn't know anything about Arabic rhythms.

  • The dance is good but it shouldn't be called khaleeji just because it has some hair throwing.

  • I love this song!

All forms of Arabic dances are very similar, so don't get worked up.

  • @Kimikimer No.

  • @habibainblack

    No what?

This type of dance was actually originated in pre islamic Arabia (somewhere in the gulf) where women used to bellydance for the moon God Hubal, that's history not me so take your jealousy or hatred or whatever negative feelings you have somewhere else some people are trying to enjoy. :D

  • @Kimikimer You said all forms of Arabic dances are similar; they are not, hence the "no". I could see how someone looking at the Arab world through an orientalist lens might think that, though. But don't let my comment be mistaken for jealousy or hatred. I commented on the video earlier saying that it was good. :D

  • @habibainblack

    Hi. :D

First of all, I grew up with these people, Arabs, so I know about them as much as you do (maybe u do more ;P) So no Oriental lens here.

I reeeeally don't like when Arabs try to differ themselves from each other just because of a simple hips movement. Yes we are not the exact same but we are somehow connected and I felt some kinda dissin towards the khaleeji through the negative comments in this video, sorry if I offended you in anyway. :D

  • @Kimikimer The problem isn't about Arabs trying to be different from each other - the problems is NON Arabs being misinformed and grouping all Arabs together as the same thing. Whoever made this video probably thought choreographing a Saudi inspired dance to an Algerian song would make sense because it's all Arabic, right? Well that's completely ignoring the enormous difference between two cultures. If anything, that is what is offensive to people. "Arabic" isn't just one culture!

  • @habibainblack You ara totally right!!! I agree. Including that sometimes some people call somebody an Arab, but he might be from an other people non Arab but living in an arab or muslim country.

  • @Kimikimer I can´t agree with you that "all forms of ararbic bellydance are similar" as you say.Yes the movements used in dance are similar , especialy those with hips and shoulders, but the types of the dance are very different ,as the music for the types of bellydance is different.

Saying all arab cultures are similar to each other,it is like you would say that mexico culture is the same as argentina culture ,or you can say that tango is almost the same as rumba, for example

  • @Kimikimer I am trying to understand your point of view but Ican´t

ON one hand you see that used movements are similar but you don´t see that thay are used absolutely in a different way?to a different rhythms ,with different steps

anyway i like this dance,i do enjoy it

  • It's beautiful!!! I can`t explane what I feel!!!!! I like so mucho ... Thank's!!!!

  • for chinka

  • bravo beautiful

  • Astaghfirullah Ya Allah Hidayh

  • .......

  • Wait I'll say it for you; this is not Khaleegy.

    I think she dances beautifully.

  • ya raaa :D

  • Not Khaleegy rhythm. Please know your rhythms if you intend to perform and share this art form w/ the world. Especially on such a public forum.

  • very Nice.

  • como se lllama el tema??? me encanta!!!

    gracias!

  • too many sudden movements it should be a smooth transition from one move to the next its like an earth quake is happening lol

  • I don´t understand this clip at all,are there different music overlayed?

The dance is nice and the costume also but this is rai,not gulf music?

  • THIS IS NOT KHALEEGY!!

    HORROR!!

  • Algerian Shabbi - is this woman out of her mind!

  • Why on earth is she wearing a thobe while dancing to music from North Africa, I second the 'shame on the dancer' comment.

  • She seems to be combining a lot of different Khaliji styles but I'm not an expert. Can we find out if she's just being interpretive or if this is supposed to be a particular style I'm not aware of? She's entertaining and lovely though I think "bayareadancer" is right that this is not a khaliji song. The rhythm is right I think but that doesn't make the song right.

  • Sure, it has nothing to do with khallegi. The most surprising is that this dancer is famous in Russia for her knowledge of khallegi ;)

  • this is an Algerian song....

    NOT khaneegy....shame on this dancer!!!

  • Thanks for uploading... great video

  • WUNDERBAR

  • Outstanding!

  • excellent dancer

  • it`s wonderful!

  • name of this song anybody can tell me?

  • ya rayeh by rasheed taha

  • Guys, you should just open your minds!!!Dance is an art and should be alowed to evolve.Mixing, experimenting, trying something knew is what keeps it alive. This is where great fusions come from.Just because something new is born it doesn't mean traditional Khaleegy will die.

  • Lot of "experts" here; thank you Irina for this beautful dance!!!

  • Irina, fantastic dance ! Awesome ! I like this music also :o) Greetings from Poland !

  • It's obvious that she is dancing to another music.

  • nice!

  • Hmm her hair throwing part is petty pathetic. nothing to do with Gulf, Arab or Persian, women's hairthrowing. She does it way too agressively, and with no rhythm at all. but some other parts of her dance are very nice, specially the should shimmies and some of her footsteps.

  • @dinavienna true , she moved her hair aggressively while in the tradition it should be in classic way.

  • Comment removed

  • muy buena...

  • i think she danced for another music.. than here

  • this song is not for khaleegy....

  • Awsome!!!

  • very traditional and elegent. I like it very much!

  • you say traditional????? Khaleegy on Rai music??? she doesn't know anything about kaleegy folklore dance,

  • You are so right!!, she doesn't even go with the music, besides, that is not the music for Khaleegy. There is no corresponding between dance and music, it's like dancing Dabke with Raks Sharki moves!

  • I agree :)) the music is so pathetic to this dance.

But movement-wise, I like some of her moves.

She needs to learn the culture more.

Oh and her hair throwing - slow down girl and learn some rhythm.

But as I said I do like some of her dance qualities. I would love to see actual Khaleej dance though. have never seen it in professional dance.
