I lost My Poppa almost a month ago. I miss him so much...he was my best friend, mentor & like my Dad :( Not a day,hour goes by that I don't think of him.
Great job on the video. Take comfort in the fact that your dad did a great job raising you. The pics show a family that cared a lot about each other. Just spent the day fishing with my son and wanted to hear this song. The fact that I now hand him all the hooked fish would have baffled me twenty years ago. Then I remember my dad's words: "I get a kick out of seeing YOU catch fish." He still does the same thing when he fishes with my son (his grandson). Great job. Your dad's proud!

My dad died on December 8th, 2008 of stage four pancreatic cancer. The average life expectancy for this particular type of cancer is five to eight months. He survived for three years. I was only eleven years old when he died. I watched him die with my own eyes. He was my best friend in the entire world. I would give up anything to see him for one more minute. An arm, a leg, both. Whatever it would take. I love you dad.

Thank you for this video. My Dad passed away one year ago today of mesothelioma, after a two year battle. He didn't fight it he just fiught for everyday he could have. One week before he passed he mowed his yard and went to church, just as he always did, but we could see the life draining out of him. He never complained, never let on that he was hurting, until the last few days. He was surrounded by family and friends and slipped into eternity peacefully R.I.P. Dad..

Beautiful Song Keith. I lost my dad due to liver disease from Agent Orange in Vietnam.My own son looked at him as a mentor because his own dad was abusive. We all miss him and my son is in college and having such a hard time right now having no mentor anymore. I am pleased to see and hear a great song about dad. Mine just passed away this evening(Sept.30,2009 at 6:36pm EST) of what started as esophagal cancer and developed into much more--fast. My god rest his soul! I'm in tears missing my dad I lost him when I was 11 to a heart attack... I'm now 25 still in pain and probably will for life, cause I only have 11 years of memories!

My uncle died of liver cancer at a young age. It was a fast moving illness and my first encounter with death as a child. I am sorry for your loss but rest assured your Dad is watching from above and very proud of you.

I just lost my father oct. 23rd 2008 and we were extremely close after he retired he moved in with my wife and I there's nothing I wouldn't give to talk with him one last time hug him, kiss him tell him I LOVE HIM. Beautiful Song Keith. I lost my dad due to liver disease from Agent Orange in Vietnam.My own son looked at him as a mentor because his own dad was abusive. We all miss him and my son is in college and having such a hard time right now having no mentor anymore. I'm glad that you wrote this song about your dad and I am sorry for your loss but he did a wonderful job raising his son into an incredible man.

Your Dad is my first cousin; I am seeing this for the first time 3 yrs after he passed away and grieving for the loss this is to his wonderful family and to our family. I am pleased to see and hear a great song about dad. Mine just passed away this evening(Sept.30,2009 at 6:36pm EST) of what started as esophagal cancer and developed into much more--fast. I'm gonna miss my dad because he was my best friend on earth and I hope I see him again so we can play catch in the backyard and he can teach me how to cut the lawn all over again---rest in peace daddy--you earned it.

I just lost my father oct. 23rd 2008 and we were extremely close after he retired he moved in with my wife and I there's nothing I wouldn't give to talk with him one last time hug him, kiss him tell him I LOVE HIM. He was taken from this world so quickly due to cancer it was only around 30 or so days only 5 were spent out of the hospital. thank you for your song. it was beautiful I hope you do not mind me posting it on my myspace page.

I will never forget Mattew Watson he taught me alot. he was 8 wen he died and he was 3 when he had cancer.i know his mom poor her
