How do people manage to put their hands up in the air?!?! It's hard for me I've been on it 10 times and on my 11th time I put it up right before the 1st drop then changed my mind but...2 Late! It just went I didn't want to put my hands down I wanted to know what it felt like,but it was very scary! Mamba seems to make my stomach tickle more than any coaster I have ever ridden, including Millennium Force, Titan, Top Thrill Dragster and Magnum. The first drop in the very back seat gives me so much butterflies that it actually hurts. It must have something to do with the precise curve of the descent.

It looks like the trim brakes right before the final six hills slows the ride down more than usual, I wonder why they would slow it down so much. Trim brakes suck on a ride, especially the one on the top of Timber Wolf's first drop which really slows it down alot.

I remember riding Mamba on August 17, 2008. The trims were totally off. We went flying over the bunny hills like crazy! The next time I rode it, the trims slowed us to just a crawl.

Nitro at SFGA is better than the Mamba. And El Toro is better than TimberWolf. And I also believe SFGA is better than Cedar Point overall, although I gotta hand it to them for Maverick and Millenium Force. If you're planning a roller coaster trip, don't go to Worlds of Fun, go to Cedar Point or Six Flags Great Adventure. Trust me!!

That ride is so awsome! I reccomend the back seats! that hang you see on the first drop cuases the back of the train to still be on an upward motion... when the front goes you get a catapult effect... dont hang on... and you got yourself a free fall!!! and that is freakin sweet

whiterice003: You're right, the front seat totally sucks on hyper coasters (a roller coaster between 200-299 feet in height). However, the front seat on Mamba does provide incredible ejector airtime over the second hill. I have to hold on to the seat (or lack of seat) in front of me to prevent my lap from hitting the lapbar.

The back seat is the most intense right before it begins to go down the first drop. The weight of all the cars in front cause the back to get whipped over.

This ride, for me, wasn't very scary honestly. It just didn't feel steep enough on the drops so it didn't really freak me out on the way down. The scariest I've ridden was Millennium Force.

jpedro54: No, it's in northern Kansas City, Missouri. It's an area with hundreds of thousands of people. There's lots of prairie througout the area, and this was once a mining area, so that's why it seems a bit barren. You can see downtown Kansas City from Mamba's lift, it's only about 7 miles away.
