im in high school wrestling, and for me it seems a little risky because unless it is a regional tournament, the legs can't be over your head or else they'll call you for it. So you just have to watch that elevation.
i am very tall and skinny for wrestler this also means i am not very strong so besides just straight up lifting weights (which i am doing) are there any tips that might help me be able to lift my opponent to finish my shots?
@Geofftaco99 Lifting is my expertise so of course I'm gonna tell you that that's very important. I hope that you include olympic lifts in your program because they actually have a skill transfer to this. To clean or snatch well you have to hit the bar with your hips on your pull, same thing here. All of your power comes from a fast hip extension so keep that in mind and you should do fine.
@hazardroll1 I was a noob and didn't know how to reply to messages, i was trying to reply to what somebody said, but if you look at the page it says freestyle
Just to add on to that, for those doing folk-style wrestling, you also need to have one point of contact to the mat before putting you opponent down. (in other words you should have at least one knee on the mat before you put him on his back)
Now do you have one camera and are slamming him once but showing us different angles, or are you tossing him around multiple times and showing us with one camera? lol
@jellybeansinc Look at the position of the room, it remains the same. He is just showing the same technique, in live action, multiple times. Much like what a coach would do when teaching a technique in practice.
Keep pressing 6 LOL!
