Imagine Charles Lloyd in a psychedelic surfband with a post-spaghetti Ennio Morreconi, and you might get a hint of what Primal Sky is about - a hint because this is much more haunting and adventurous than that. It's not surf per say, but there are lots of very nice guitar lines suggesting surf, and the artistry here is just too good to pass up.

is there any doubt that this man, ennio morricone is one of the greatest composers of our time? Of course not! He's the kind of musician that mozart and bach would listen to and appreciate. How, though, would they react to current day pop? Or the abstract orchestrations of the mfa (master of fine arts) crowd? They have ruined the image of classical orchestration, just as they have ruined the image of poetry and writing. Oh curse their vile, yellow bones. Curse them!
