  • can i play games on this laptop?

  • Pretty good review! I'm getting this laptop, when I get salary. :D

  • I was looking for computer which will be compact and which fulfill my requirements to do less or more complicated tasks at the university. I am totally satisfacted. I do reccomend this device for students. As far as drawbacks are concerned, battery could be better, nonetheless 4 hours with WIFI on and high brightness is not bad. With brightness down + WIFI off editing some text it works about 6 hours.

  • @ksieluk you can get a 9cell battery for this model

  • Eventually got this one, It's awesome apart from The plastic getting scratched EXTREMELY easy. Had it for a few days, and i scratched half of my back lid already as if it's used for a few years.

  • When you got it was there a Microsoft word already installed in it? Or do you have to buy it???

  • @strawberry135798 you have Microsoft office 2011 already installed

  • @strawberry135798 i mean Microsoft office 2010

  • hi i have the same unit, but i currently experience random blue screen of death. how do you prevent it?

  • Fujitsu PH521 is cheaper compare to this model here in Taiwan, almost similar specs, plus you get a spill-proof keyboard on Fujitsu.

  • I still think this is a notebook. I'm buying one of these devices for portable graphics processing power, slimline size and price (Although I think it costs a little too much for what it is compared to the competition). I'm not saying this is gonna run modern games on medium-high settings, but these systems can run most modern games on all low settings at 20-30 FPS which I think is most impressive.

  • HP DM1Z is a bit better in benchmarks and cheaper.

  • @Daputaka A lot of people have complained about the terrible trackpad and cheap feeling build. I was looking at this one first of all, and steered clear of it after hearing this.

  • just design nice..

    htc flyer is best!

  • @ymn124 You can't compare a tablet, which is actually much slower, to a notebook lol.

  • stupid book! No valuable apps n games...

  • keyboard and touchpad sucks. Very small both. 4 cell battery: give me a break

  • i have this laptop. it does not feel cheap and it is not cheap. it works amazing. this video is very skeptic about he sony vaio y series. sony always provides superb quality in all of their products. this video is very very misleading. i recommend this to everyone.

  • amd sucks go with intel

  • @espnchris

yeah right thats why Intel just halfed the prices of their atom CPUs...

  • @espnchris yeah, let's enjoy a best quality processor like Atom... oh wait...

  • @espnchris DUDE ITS AMD AND INTEL

  • @espnchris AMD don't suck, they're a lot cheaper and they are currently leading the netbook processor market with these new fusion chips, intel atoms are outdated and struggle to keep up.

I think they have the edge on their higer spec PC processors, but AMD cannot be beaten on price, and I have no regrets with my AMD Desktop.

  • @Razyre i totally agree you so won

  • @espnchris Dude, you have to reply to that because you can't even come up with a decent argument? Seriously.

  • @Razyre i got nothing im really do want amd now .....fuck intel

  • @espnchris Wow you're such a troll it's unreal xD They're equals in my mind. AMD do the cheapest (But still good, by all means) hardware, whereas intel is more expensive, but more powerful as a rule. However AMD now have the edge over intel in the mobile processing market, but I'm sure they're gonna be equaled by intel soon enough.

  • @Razyre man you don't give up....dude you said it i'm a troll lol.......but you wont give up trying to convince me

  • @espnchris Dude, I'm not trying to convince you. It's fun proving people's close minded opinions wrong. And then watching them come up with some amusing comebacks. It was never a troll, as I'm actually looking at these to buy, just wanted some banter along the way.

Btw - INTEL ROCKS HARD MAN!

  • @Razyre Hey, since this one gets quite alot of critique, and I'm looking for this type of netbook, what other models could you offer with the same specs (GPU is the most important factor) looking at the price range of ->$650?

Since I'm in UK and i'm getting my netbook from USA can't really compare them or try the demos y'know.

  • @ernis1100 HP DM1z, Asus 1215B... Can't remember many others. Type in AMD Fusion netbooks on google. Good luck.

  • that is so not ultra thin!! have u seen the samsung 9 series!

  • It's not a netbook, it's an ultra portable.

It's not a sluggish atom based machine, it's AMD dual core.

    And it sure is pretty...

  • @razorjules Finally, Someone I agree with with a name that is similar to mine xD

  • asss hole this is not the yb series net book

  • AMD = OVERHEATING

    DEAL WITH IT

  • @aoc897 Are you having a nice day troll???

  • I don't understand why they put the "Assist" button where you would normally find the power button. The "Assist" button lets you recover your data and restore your computer back to its original factory configuration. Now how often will you be doing that???

  • Oh my gosh this is why I am confused!

  • Question: Is this a netbook or a notebook? I'm very confused guys! Some sites said it's a notebook, while some said it's a notebook. :l

  • @chunkymunky147 It´s a mini notebook.

  • @ErickMotta07 Alright, thanks! Just what I'm looking for: a mini notebook but not a netbook :)

  • @chunkymunky147 Yeah! That´s the reason why i´m gonna buy it too!!

  • @ErickMotta07 Cool!

  • @chunkymunky147 note book one site then u say notebook again

  • @SOAPYL96A1 Oops sorry typo error! It should have been notebook then netbook.

  • @chunkymunky147

Its not a mini notebook. its a NETBOOK.

  • @JinKazama92 its a notebook its bigger than a netbook

  • @MegaSousaphone

A netbook is at least 12 inches. this is 11 inches.

  • @JinKazama92 Actually no. It is too large to be a netbook. It is simply an ultra-portable notebook.

  • @happycburger2

Yeah that's another term for a netbook actually.

  • @JinKazama92 no, ultra portable refers to weight. To be a netbook it has to fall into a certain length and width.

  • @happycburger2

Well. Your saying Asus is wrong for calling their 12'' "laptops" as netbooks?

  • I think i need to change my password because i didn't comment

  • And it has a 6 cell now and it's not cheap I'm getting besides this video

  • So I should not buy this laptop because the mouse button feels cheap? Bad video I think this is bad.

  • @M5YUILL i think the vid is spot on.

  • I have this laptop...it does not feel cheap...This video is very misleading..

  • It's probably still built well and will last, the cheaper plastic isprob. for lowerprice, but Sony usually always = superb quality

  • do you recommend this one? or should i go for acer aspire 5742g?

  • iWant it.
