I was there too with Jill Laroway and Sara Kaltz. I wish everyone could have had that kind of an experience to remember. There was something about the rain, not just a rain, but the sudden open sky down pour that happened Friday and again on Saturday, and the sun bursting out, a washing away and a brightly renewing light!!!!

Huskies, you nailed it right on the head. It was a true miracle that we went from rain and wind like no other to drying up and sun shining bright in about a 20 min span as Saint-in-waiting John Paul II began the mass.
We were witness to a living saint. That Sunday in July 2002 was like an epiphany for me. Suddenly, it all fell into place and you couldn't deny that which was real and the spirit that is living, breathing, and loving for us by Him.
I was also there & I remember it as an amazing experience. Our group camped out & I remember it raining all night, & in the morning PJP2 came out to say Mass, & it just stoped raining & the sun dried up the rain in miniutes. PJP2 was a saint on earth, & it was a privillage to see him & pray with him for the last time before his passing. Thanks for shairing this vid, it brought back good memories. God bless!
The rain woke me up. Then we ate breakfast. Within that short time it turned into a beautiful day. Then mass with 1,000,000 people. Then I went home and everyone said I was "glowing". I was GLOWING!!!! Like I went on a pilgrimage and found peace or something rare and beautiful.
This brings back good memories of that WYD.
