Ehhh I imagine that living In a farm like community wouldn't be bad nowadays we have the internet to communicate daily but people like the Amish live so close they have no need they see each other regularly. It reminds me of a person who would dedicate or try to better them self by blocking out all outside distractions and focus on a  group of goals only. So I suppose if you grew up on a farm it wouldn't be to different from the Amish beyond ty and phones,etc

lol i'm messing with you i never was armish but i have a friend who used to be and left. my personal opinion? my friend, it built character for him, but i think armish people should just stay armish, because when they want to leave to see the real world they go crazy with alcohol and then find that they hate it and end up going back to armish community all fucked up. or they choose to stay, travel study etc. but yeh armish aren't that bad, except for the whole child rape conspiracies.

yes, my Dad is paralised and he is 71 now, Mom is 70, I still go see them from time to time, they live a few miles from here. I do have 2 brothers and 3 sisters that left. I was the youngest of 11 kids. My brother Mel is 20 miles from here and we talk a lot, and then Simon in in another state. The 3 sisters that left are close by too, 20-30 miles. BTW the family of 4 in this video is related to me. The guy's name is David Yoder from the book Amish Deception.

From what your saying ,It sounds like you're Amish or you were. There was a show that they had Amish teenagers come into the modern world and do the things that modern life offers. The Amish took an entrance test for college and they all got 99 or 100%. Now, from what I've read they don't allow education to exceed more than 8th grade. Is this true? If it is true, how can they get high marks? I'm intrested of the education standards of the Amish community.

Yes I was... I took the producers of Amish In the City on a tour of the area I grew up at...

Some Amish schools are better then "english" as they call it, but I have to say there are some that are sub-standard too. However I would need to go get a GED to get in a college.

Thats some african tribe. The amish don;t like camera's because they value family togetherness, and whenever you look at a picture of a person, thats less time than you spend actually with that person, and thats a downward slope. THe amish are not crazy, I think there is quite a lot of logic to their decisions.
