I have a good relationship with God. I don't tell others how it should be. Why do you? "Alternative" doesn't mean "no values" there are plenty of values. The comment on "murder", clarifies, you'd just enumerated a list of behavours that, basically, God calls "sin" (Homosexuality; abortions, sex outside marriage, drug use, etc (wine in moderation is Ok, drunkenness = sin). Murder = 1 more sin.

@luke26126 Yes, no one is "good enough" to be saved. However, if you're truly saved you will follow Jesus commands. And as the verses I've listed show, those who CONTINUALLY practice sin - show that they are not true Christians. Yes, Jesus forgives our besetting sins if we confess them & then return to following Jesus as Lord. If He is truly Lord of our lives, and we truly love Him, we will wish to serve & please him. And that means taking every thought captive to Jesus (1Cor.10:5) & not sinning

@MaabudZ Don't like murder? Yes, don't do it. But it's good to have laws against it. Isn't it? Drugs? If looked at as OK & if peddling speed or LSD or ... is OK, you'll have a society that looks like China under opiates in the 1800's or India under hash a hundred years ago. They've only got their "acts' a bit more together by emulating the West. As Dylan said, kind of hard to "focus" when high. A drugged society will fall apart eventually. Look at the history of "drugged" India. Or Afghanistan.

For jm104: The only difference I know of in prophesying in the O.T. vs. the N.t. is summed up in Rev. 19:10 "...for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophesy". One can "practice" giving one's "testimony" about Jesus. One cannot "practice" telling the future in God's name, and being wrong half the time and saying, "Oh well, I was just practicing" False prohesies are lies in God's name. More serious than lying in one's own name. Satan is the father of lies not God.

For jm104: Jesus says beware of false prophets (Mt. 7:15) and then says you will know them by their fruits. He then calls their words "fruit" In Luke 6:43-45 Jesus says "...a good tree brings forth not corrupt fruit... every tree is known by his fruit, in the next verse Jesus says "...an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is evil and "...for of the abundance of the heart man speaks" Notice "speaks". False prophets speak falsely or lies in God's name.

Those affiliated with Truth Seekers believe in prophesy. However in deuteronomy 18:20-22 God says that if you claim to be a prophet and are wrong just once, you are a false prophet. Benny Hinn and his friends along with many in the Apostolic Reformation of C.Peter wagner's group, are in our opinion false prophets. Some of the things they have said also contradict what the Bible states

Dear Jm104: There was NEVER a gentile prophet named in the Scriptures. The Biblical requirment was 100% accuracy, 100% of the time for a prophet....there has been NO prophet since the Book of Revelation was written. There are psychics and fortune tellers, but NO prophets.

Scriptures back up the gift of prophecy, not just bible quoting & reading. The real enemies are not the real prophets, but he false teachers, prophets & the enemy. Spread the word of salvation, the good news & win the lost. Pray, fast & LOVE! Do you truly love the real Prophets? We should love even the false prophets & show them a better way. Those that are spiritual, restore those that are fallen. Examine your motive in teaching against them. God will judge all.

Thanks. You guys need to focus on Bob Jones and Rick Joyner and Paul Cain. Joyner's attacks on the veracity of Paul's letters as being the Word mean one thing: these false prophets led by CPeterWagner are attempting to lift their own prophetic words to the level of Scripture. The lynch pin is Bill Hamon's teachings on modern prophecy: that it is always conditional and its fulfillment depends on the receiver of the prophetic word's own personal attitude!
