Haha, the thing is, Lilys were NOT just a "noisy shoegaze band a la My Bloody Valentine" as is stated in the vid description.

Yeah, _In the Presence of Nothing_ was definitely super shoegazey (on Slumberland after all), but I'd say most of the rest of Kurt Heasley's catalog spans across a HUGE variety of genres that would keep Lilys from very obviously being just a "shoegaze" band. I mean, even the other 3 Lilys tracks on this Aspera Ad Astra/Lilys split are more dream poppy than shoegaze..

There are two Lilys tracks on this release if i remember correctly. The other song is also badass. "ELSA" i think it's called. These were apparently old unreleased songs that were dug up for this split release.

The most underrated shoegaze band.....ever. I own this album(good), and In the Presence of Nothing(AMAZING). Presence is one of the best Shoegaze albums of all time to me, like....top 10 material. Too bad NOBODY knows who they are, including fellow gazers.

Is this crazy good, or is it just me? I can't figure out why Kurt isn't considered to be the modern underground genuis that Bob Pollard , Jeff Mangum, and Anton Newcombe are always touted as being.
