I know you're probably thinking "I wouldn"t trust fish from the dollar store" lol and yeah I wouldn't either if it was being sold uncooked. Actually "smoked salmon" is not cooked at all by the smoking process because it is a cold smoking process. It is usually cured first (salt cured) and then cold smoked for the flavor, the smoke flavor. Cheers.
