@theagapekids Since heaven and hell both don't exist, either way you switch it, when we die, we die. We know there is nothing that lives on after death since there is no energy or mass which leaves the body at the time of death. Granted, body heat dissipates after a person dies, but that happens in all mammals and is gradual process - not the 'release' which religions preach.
And if you believe in a soul which has no energy and/or mass, then you are believing in nothing by definition.

The Romans, who governed the Middle East when the story supposedly took place, held plenty of censuses, but nobody had to go back to their hometown for them! Optical physicists (another type of scientist) developed lasers from light theory (developed by electromagnetic and quantum physicists, other types of scientists).

We know there is nothing that lives on after death since there is no energy or mass which leaves the body at the time of death. Granted, body heat dissipates after a person dies, but that happens in all mammals and is gradual process - not the 'release' which religions preach.
And if you believe in a soul which has no energy and/or mass, then you are believing in nothing by definition.

The Romans, who governed the Middle East when the story supposedly took place, held plenty of censuses, but nobody had to go back to their hometown for them! Roman censuses counted people where they lived at the time - just as censuses do today. That story was a fiction, not fact. The bible is fiction.

Optical physicists (another type of scientist) developed lasers from light theory (developed by electromagnetic and quantum physicists, other types of scientists).
CD's and DVD's are made of polymer and are written to and read by lasers.
You see how that works? Technology is applied science.

Sometimes a theory or parts of theories are disproven, which further refines them. Nothing is taken on faith. The process is non-religious.

It is well tested with thousands of studies on every aspect of the theory. Many aspects of the theory have been proven to be factual. Other aspects are still under investigation, but no aspect of the theory is 'just a theory'. It's all based on verifiable evidence. That can NEVER be said about any religion. Religion is based on faith.

Second of all, you appear to have memory problems because you agreed with another poster who said the 'Satan' guy should be shot. Third, you the one who called me a baby for pointing out some of the more unsavory aspects of the bible. It's all right up there ^; you can read it there.
I don't make up random crap about christians. Everything I write is based on fact, history and research.

@theagapekids LOL! Although I appreciate the apology, this is your best baby fit ever! I have plenty of facts on christians, kid! I was raised by fundies and forced to read the bible and to memorize the 'begats' in Matthew and Luke. That was actually good because none of the Sunday school teachers could answer my questions about why none of the versions agreed with each other. Surely if the bible is fact, there would be consistency about such things, right?
And yeah, REALLY unsavory.

I think you're saying that you have heard different versions of Big Bang theory so you believe not all Physicists agree. In fact, all Physicists *never* agree on anything! But there is a scientific consensus about Big Bang theory. Read up on Cosmology. There's a lot more evidence there than in the Bible!

@theagapekids The difference between scientific thinking and religious thinking is that science is based on facts observable from many different and objective sources. The observations are verifiable. Big Bang theory (a *scientific theory*) is supported by high-level mathematics and has been verified by a large number of unmistakable observations from hundreds of different sources. The observations have been carefully and rationally examined over decades of research. See Wikipedia for more.

@theagapekids I don't believe the bible is true because historical, scientific, linguistic, archeological and comparative literature techniques have shown it's mish mosh of myths which were miscopied & mistranslated over time, then altered & edited heavily by any number of entities. No. Adam & Eve did not exist. The first humans on earth evolved from earlier hominids. Go to Wikipedia and look up 'Human Evolution'.

@theagapekids No. People were the first people on earth. Monkeys got on the earth by evolving from earlier life forms. I think the problem that you are having is that you think you understand Evolution when in fact you don't even understand basic Biology. I would encourage you talk to whichever parent is homeschooling you about getting you a solid foundation in the basic sciences as well as English composition (no, you're writing skills are not 'perfectly fine' for any situation.)

@theagapekids Oh Dont, sure earlier life forms existed. That is shown by fossils. There is also DNA, which is found in all life forms and shows how related they are to each other. I'm not going to go into Evolution, DNA and other advanced Science because it is obvious that you don't even know the basic relationships between biological classifications such as Phylum, Classes, Orders, Families, Genuses and Species.

@theagapekids You're right about the bible (I think. It's hard to know for sure since your writing is so bad). Different people changed stuff in it over time. That's why it's such an unreliable source of information! I don't believe in souls because by definition they don't exist. Things that exist have measurable mass and/or energy. A soul has neither, so simply doesn't exist. Our consciences are not 'souls'. Conscience is the product of upbringing and varies between cultures.
