@SLagerZahne Yes, the synth filters are no different than the sample engine filters. You only thing you don't have in the sampler is the ring modulator but you can use the Frequency Shifter effect which is close to it.
live tweeking is really easy. All the functions can be controlled via the q-links. You only need to jump pages with the F1-F6 buttons. You can also assign filter cutoff, resonance, decay, pan, level and attack to the Q-Links a the program level.
Im defo leaning to getting the 5000 (currently a 500 owner), its multiple audio/midi outs, synth, work flow etc are what im after.
But, are u running os2.0? and is it slow compared to before? alot of ppl are saying its less repsonsive on button presses and load/save times etc.....and how is the midi sync with other hardware?
OS 2.0 is fine. The only time it gets slow is if you have a ton of samples in RAM and I mean like over a few hundred. I keep about 40 kits in my autoload and it works fine. It syncs good with Logic and Live. I usually use it as a master though because it's timing is a lot better than Logic and thousands better than Live.
Thanx for your video.I'm tempted to buy it,but I'm not 100% sure about the internal synth: do you honestly think it may be used for professional purposes soundwise?I mean, does it sound "real" enough,or is it still better to use proper virtual instruments or hardware synths? thanx xxxx
@discodelirio I'm not sure what 'real sounding' means when talking about a synth. It is a very nice synth. I have analog synths, plug-in synths, digital synths. This one has it's own sound, like all the others do. It is very good, very useful, and can do pro work for sure.
intresting the synth is really nice sounding. I hope you make some tracks in the next time, with this machine and it ibuild synth. Thanks for posting !
Very impressive. got a pro5, andromeda, and evolver. seems nice to have a beasty VA in a powefull sequencer. can you automate the parameters of the synth?
That MPC5000 is really awesome, and now with a full blown synth inside, it is in a league of its own. Those are some awesome sounds. Really varied and rich sounding. I love it!
Is it possible to use a sample as an oscillator or somehow send a sample through the sythesizer?

This is the most extensive demo of the built-in VA synth that anyone has done. Good job!

Awesome video!.....I've been wanting to hear/see this synth in action for a while
I thought the synth would have had a very digital sound/tone, but you've proven me wrong! lol
You have made some very nice sounds! They have a nice warmth to them.
Whats the live tweaking like?
