A mazurka is a polish dance. Theres so many tempo changes cause theres 5 or 6 different parts (i could be wrong with the amount) when this was bein played in dance halls in the 1800's they would of repeated those sections. In saying that, it is a dance, and i think he should of gone a bit more eccentric and mad with it, just my opinion.
There are a good deal too many tempo changes. Chopin is supposed to be heartfelt, but that doesn't mean you have to go from 215 to 44 in 3 beats. Good playing otherwise, very emotional.
There is no supposed to be. There are many different ways to play any piece. You can either play it the exact way the composer intended, the way the composer intended with slight personal interpretation or heavy personal interpretation. He's obviously chosen the latter and, honestly, it's the best I've heard this played.
No one said that anything was supposed to be felt... but he COULD take out some of his tempo changes... I mean the piece is marked at 160 beats per minute... Not 86-160 beats per minute. Just follow the stretti, ritards, and rallentandos.
only an ordinary mind care about the tempo marks and, well, any kind of indication: needs this because is not enough musically clever to make it own interpretation about the idea prompted by the composer, or just is not able to feel with the necessary deepness.... only stupid and/or untalented people follows indications and brings to the musical world the tons of the same awful interpretations and poorly intelligent philosophies about music...
One: Please attend a grammar class so I can understand what you're saying.
Two: You're SUPPOSED to follow the indications written in music.
Three: All I said was that he needs to cut down on the tempo changes in his interpretation, because he takes forever trying to convey one message. Mazurkas are repetitive, meaning I will hear the same musical lines over and over, making his interpretation incredibly boring.
Four: Please attend a music class and THEN come back and argue with me.
You're supposed to follow the markings and indications in music... As the composers put them there, and therefore, that is the composers style of playing, dumbfuck.

Love it!!! Ignore all the stuffed shirts - playing and performing is about more than just being obedient to the composer.

Chopin marked this "Vivo"

I love how much emotion you put into the piece, but the tempo changes were a bit sudden. It sounds great otherwise. Practically perfect :)
I'll be happy if I can play it half as well for my Grade 6 exam..

I think you put a little TOO much expression in it, but I do like it.

well, he put what he feel, not what is "supposed" to be felt... that is the unique what matters...

dead composers can kiss by butt.... they left they own compositions at they own risk xD

Thank you for your posting. This reminds me of Horowitz's gradation in colour and rubato.
