well it happens pretty often if u push the same time after getting ur item, we had a bunch of fights like this, we spent 3 years playing nothing else then this game ( and tetris attack different story :)

we should play online. i tested the red theory. it's entirely random and predetermined at the program RNG sublevel.

On SNES Mario Cart, If you press "A" twice very quickly right after you run over a "?" mark, you can get a red turtle shell, almost all of the time.
