  • toxic!

  • Thanks for the video!

  • If people would pay attention what they think about, stop negative mind chatter, stop watching ads @ programs on tv showing symptoms and looking for them they would feel better.

It is common sense that doctors ,pharma need sick people to keep their jobs.

It is proven that fear is great motivator to sell people products eg insurance com, beauty prod etc.

It is perfect marketing tool---1st scare people 2nd offer the salvation-my product

For churches hell works well, for doc,pharm-sickness etc

  • At my work place 26y old man died of heart problem after taking Zyban for quiting smoking.I have seen this drug ad in cardiologist office

  • I'd take this video more seriously if it wasn't produced by a criminally convicted, human rights abusing cult, whose only real interest in destroying psychiatry is so that they can have their customer base to scam from.

  • @TheEvilOfScientology can you tell me where can I find info re criminal charges you talk about. What human rights they abuse?

  • @youji213 True. But there is also the problem of over-prescribingAnd when people watch numerous ads, they may think they have depression and go to the doctor for it. (we're one of the few countries that do this

I had a brief evaluation with a psychiatrist and after a couple of questions he prescribed me Prozac without taking into consideration that I'm 19 and whatever I'm feeling may be a passing thing. I can see how many unsuspecting people are prescribed unneeded medication. It needs to stop.

  • concerta, ritalin, or adderall. and u will have no depression

  • See if you can spot who is OSA here...

  • @bagelboi66 Don't be an idiot. It's you! ;)

  • @MindCrimesInc Rats, foiled again!

  • @bagelboi66 Haha, you're a good sport! Thank you for having a sense of humor. ;)

  • People choose them selfs to use drugs

  • @UniqueWeekend True... but, when it comes to psychotropics people generally do so based on a Psychiatrists recommendation to take the drug. This is a "root" cause of these drugs being over prescribed and people getting misdiagnosed. people trust Doctors and the Doctors recommendations without looking into it first. I haven't met one person who decided one day, "hey today I think I'm going to start taking Paxil/ Prozac/ Zoloft/ lithium and so on." Have you?

  • @MindCrimesInc No i allways knew that whats created by consciousness can be healed spiritually

  • Scientology or not, I think it's common sense. Why on earch would you treat any illness, mental or otherwise with drugs without first getting to the cause? The Lord would want you to eat right, exercise, do good works prior to popping pills I'm quite sure...

  • I actually agree with Scientology on this one.. However, I DO NOT agree with their alternative medicine and spirtual healing.. Just beacuse one method is wrong doesnt automatically make anothers correct.. They are both wrong.. Remove the corruption and replace it with moral standard of real people who are not profiting and we would be ok. The medicine isnt wrong.. The people pushing it are.. I refuse to accept something as science when they cant even prove it with tests.

  • I have seen just about everything needed to back up by personal experience all my statements below. I am now working with concerned physicians, the public and other health care professionals to come against this assault on our lives and our health. Believe me, this is real! Please keep doing research yourself on this. The facts are out there, to back this up - both this documentary and my statements.

  • The drug companies are corrupt as are the chemical companies and the food industry. We are being destroyed by powers greater than ourselves in a system that does not have any moral concern about using advertising manipulation and fraud and bribery (recruiting cooperation from influential organizations and associations like the health care professions). I didn't used to think this way, but after 40 years in the health care profession ...

  • @NoellaC25 It pisses me off because this was all common sense to me.. Something didnt sit right with taking Vaccines or pills since I was about 15... Its good now to see the facts.. My arguement was that people didnt have these pills 150 years ago and before.. They were fine... They managed.. Why treat depression with pills? Why not find out what made you depressed in the first place..This is what I thought head doctors did... Help you sort out your head

  • I think the prolific statements in these documentaries by those who have experienced problems, and even heartache due to the use of the drugs, and by the myriad of physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, pharmacists, chemists who have worked for drug companies, drug reps, should be enough to prove the material is accurate. I am not a member of this cult but as an RN, and a concerned family member, I can guarantee you this material is accurate.

  • $cientology is a cult! Beware of their "meet a $cientologist" ads because those people in the ads are paid actors. No real $cientologist is allowed to have a free life. Don't let $cientology into your life. $cientologists hide the TRUTH and are cowards.

  • Are you awake yet people or do you need more pills to help your masters take more taxes from you.

  • WARNING!

This "documentary" is propaganda by THE CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY!

The "Citizens Commission on Human Rights" is a FRONT ORGANIZATION OF SCIENTOLOGY.

A quote from CCHR.ORG: "CCHR was co-founded in 1969 by the Church of Scientology"

Why is the Church of Scientologu so down on psychiatrists? Because they believe they can cure any mental problems by joining their cult!

    Please, research it yourself!

  • @TheKookOfKong You are 100% correct.. They do push that they can cure anything and so on... This movie isnt completely propaganda.. People still shouldnt be taking these drugs period.. Its really common sence... People before didnt need these pills.. Why do we? How did they resolve it?? My opinion is alot of depression and so called disorders are caused by the void in our lives. We totally neglect the spiritual element built into all of us.. cont...

  • @TheKookOfKong My point is.. Watching this video in no way persuaded me to become a Scientologist... You are 100% correct about the CCHR being founded by the church.. And that is sketchy.. Scientology is fucked.. Along with Mormonism.. I understand their theology completely.. It seems to me these new religions are more focused on making you become Christ rather then accepting he was one.. This is the theme of all new religion. Sounds like that serpant again doesnt it???

  • You have obviously no knowledge about how the brain works, the fact that you compare medicine to alcohol, is embarrasing. Alcohol get's you relaxed if you drink it once in a while, but if you drink it everyday, does it make you more anxious and disturbed.

And all you're talk about placebo, is nothing but a postulate.

I'm not claiming, the placebo can't effect people, but I know for sure, that placebo can''t cure a person with delusion, or bipolar disorder.

  • The people in the video are real Drs and victims.... who cares if Scientology sponsors CCHR.... The Pharmas dont want us to know this so they will attack anyone who tries to bring it out including Scientology. Why dont the nay sayers go and conduct your own investigations outside of CCHR and see for yourself how many people have died as a result of taking these drugs.... open your eyes.

  • It's very professional and important information for mankind.Psychyatri is creating hell on planet earth with there drugging of people.

  • The word Pharmacy is derived from the Greek word PHARMAKEIA (Word 5331 in Strongs Concordence) which literally means SORCERY. Listen... for anyone to take that shit means they are placing THEMSELVES under A MAGICK FUCKING SPELL!!! FUCK BIG PHARMA, FUCK PSYCHIATRY, and FUCK THE NEW WORLD ORDER! Check out my page people! CHEERS!

  • "They don't want you to take YOUR drugs, they want you to take THEIR drugs" - Chris Rock

  • Even if you are against psychiatric meds, you don't have to join a cult to feel that way. CCHR is a front group for the "Church" of $cientology who make just as much $ as the pharmacutical companies by telling people THEY can "cure" their mental illness instead!

  • @Stewbid11

Scams a plenty everywhere and lots of idiots to buy into it.

  • Big PHARMA are going to get big KARMA

  • Ever hear of RLS - Restless Leg Syndrome? Physicians are a part of it also. There are many more symptoms that your primary care physicians will prescribe drugs for.

  • one word for many people, Medical Marijuana, look it up study it, research it, it may not work for many, but last time i checked it's all natural, and helps millions of people!

  • Psychiatrists shouldn't be considered doctors or medical professionals because thats not what they are,I have discovered thid through much research and even a bit of experience.

  • @ HazelEyedCountryGirl I to suffer from panic attacks. Seems it runs in my family. They use to be real bad but I learned to talk my way out of them. Oh yes, and I smoke the plant that flowers.

  • touche' :-D

  • @Labrat428 ;)

  • Speaking of transparency....I noticed the CCHR didn't mention its relationship with the Church of Scientology, which hardly makes this unbiased material.

  • @Labrat428 Someone said it was unbiased material? ;)

  • @Labrat428

    Really lol?

Well, while certain psychiatric drugs can benefit certain people, it's very clear that they're heavily over-prescribed, especially in the U.S.

  • Drugs are perscribed to "persons" not human beings

  • Scary stuff!

  • I told my therapist I was depressed. First thing I was offered was drugs. I said no, I refuse to take drugs. They said, than why are you here? How do you plan to get better if your not willing to try something that could help you? So from the day were born were told, NEVER TAKE DRUGS, then a therapist walks up and says, here you go, you can't live without them! They told me I wouldn't get better, and gave me no alternative methods. I'm still looking for one who can actually help!

  • @PandaValentine find a holistic practitioner. They'll find the CAUSE and help you fix it (the cause) naturally. no more "cause", no more "effect" :-) good luck to you!

  • I knew that this was happening. I can't begin to express in how I really feel. I have been talking about this since 1992.

There is a real truth to the evil behind these prescriptions drugs. Most people are too accepting in what the psychiatrist tells them. They play God with people's lives.

It is more dangerous than most people care to realize. My story will come out and it will be in God's hands.

Thank you for this video. God bless you!

    In Christ Always,

    Team4Jesus~Nilda

  • Research drugging over institutionalising a patient

  • SHALOM ILOVE JEWISH WOMAN AND ISRAEL PEOPLE

  • This video tells the truth.

  • @NephilimFree But there are still people who suffer from delusions of grandeur, or believe in a geocentric universe. One may argue that they may need medication.

  • @TheHeather1985 Did you know that physics proves galaxies should not exist? Thier inside spins with their outside - they're not vortexes though they look like them. Thier outside spins 10 times too fast for them to exist. Secular astronomers agree. So they claim dark matter exists and surrounds them and holds them together with no physical evidence for dark matter. What's the difference then between me saying the hand of God is what holds galaxies together or makes the sun go around the earth?

  • @TheHeather1985 So you see, your ridicule of geocentrism is actually hypocracy. You believe galaxies stay together because of mere materialism and physics, though physics demonstrates nothing holds them together. Your magic is to invent dark matter and all that science. Mine is to say God controls it and that is demonstrated by science. However, I'm the winnder, because if nothing material is present and capable of holding it to gether, then it's rational that the cause is SUPERnatural. :D CYA

  • @NephilimFree MmHm... Well what could possibly show us that we orbit the sun? HOW ABOUT NEWTONIAN MECHANICS! Unless you think newtonian mechanics is bullshit, then I guess you wouldn't trust any of the products of modern engineering. No evidence for dark matter? Gravitational lensing says different. We find light waves being bent by matter which emits no EM radiation. Hence Dark Matter!!! You can't block me here, so all you can do is run away Neph, or admit defeat. Bring it Nephy!

  • @TheHeather1985 The sun rises and sets. The earth has weather. If the earth were moving, the upper atmosphere would race around the earth at untoild thousands of miles per hour like it does on mars and other planets that spin. The earth obviously is not turning therefore. Thier atmposphere races around the planet because the planet spins and the atmosphere is gas, unatacched to the planet. Not so with earth. We don't spin, else ours would too.

  • @NephilimFree Gravitational lensing only demonstrates something is bending the light. Space is full of nonreflective bodies - bodies that do not emit visible light, or enough of it to be seen with the eye. Because light bends in space is not evidence some invisible matter exists, or that it surrounds galaxies like a gravity belt. There are many labs searching for a particle of dark matter with millions of dollars of equipment. No luck yet. Science requires observable evidence.

  • @TheHeather1985 "We find light waves being bent by matter which emits no EM radiation. Hence Dark Matter!!!" That's not science. It's speculation. You just stepped outside of science and into speculation That's not science nor scientific. I could say because light bends in space there are magnetic space monkeys that draw the light. Would that be a tenable position? Is there evidence for it? Nope. Nor is there for dark matter. Get back to the Scientific Method if possible, tyhou evos deny the SM.

  • @TheHeather1985 Galaxies look like a vortex but don't operate that way. Hence, Orange Pizza Balls! Is that science? Neither is dark matter science. When they capture dark matter in these labs that have been looking for it and when they can consistently repeat these experiments to capture and measure it, you will have evidence of dark matter. You've learned that you deny the Scientific Method and science to promote your speculations as if they were science. You're antiscicense. Shame on you. CYA.

  • @TheHeather1985 Also if dark matter were attracted to visible matter so that it could surrounded galaxies and hold them together, it wouldn't. Instead it would head for the center where gravity is greatest and this would cause the galaxy to be torn apart and implode. No galaxies could exist if what evos say about dark matter were true. We're done now. You have much to think about, such as why you deny science and promote antiscience for your worldview and why that's respectable. BYE

  • @NephilimFree You say good bye, but I say HELLO! Don't tell me you're trying to run away already : ( Let's start with your first claim:

"...at untoild thousands of miles per hour like it does on mars"

Whoops! The Viking rovers say different! The average wind speed is 11 mph as recorded by the rovers. In fact our data shows seasonal winds, this wouldn't be the case if your understanding of physics were accurate. Pop goes the Nephy.

Just cause you say it, don't make it true. how deluded

  • @NephilimFree Now please don't run away with your tail tucked behind your legs yet Neph. I want to explain why the atmosphere rotates with the Earth ; D.

The atmosphere is in contact with the ground which causes turbulence, and acts much like friction. Now the atmosphere is a fluid, and in fluid mechanics turbulence kills directed flow of a fluid. So over time the turbulence between Earth and atmosphere will cause both to rotate at the same speed. Fluid Mechanics for the win!!!

  • @NephilimFree Why do you want to leave this spirited conversation Neph? Unless of course you think your claims might be debunked? Now let's see just how much in denial you are...

"Gravitational lensing only demonstrates something is bending the light. Space is full of nonreflective bodies - bodies that do not emit visible light,"

So there are massive bodies, that don't emit light. Mass is a property of matter... non reflective matter==Dark Matter. Oh noes seems you believe it too!

  • @NephilimFree My, you don't fare well without the block option do you? So are you gonna run away? Onto your next claim!

"it would head for the center where gravity is greatest"

You missed the class about Newton and Gravity huh? Gravitational attraction obeys an inverse square law. If there are masses closer to the dark matter, that gravitational force will dominate the G force from the more distant center. Look up Newton's law of Gravity, note the squared term in the denominator. Fail.

  • @TheHeather1985 "If there are masses closer to the dark matter, that gravitational force will dominate" ROLF! If your idea were true, then the galaxy still would not exist, as it would be drawn to the dark matter and come apart. LOL! Also, i suppose you have to imagine that the dark matter spins along with the galaxy so as not to tear it apart? ROLF! Evos. Go figure. Keep tring. Next comes space monkeys I guess. Adios Live and learn. CYA

  • @NephilimFree Uh oh, it seems the child wants to run away from the man who is taking away his comforting fairy tale.

Do you really think ridicule then turning tail constitutes a win? Did you even look at Newton's Law of Gravity? By your logic you should fly off toward the sun since the sun is more massive than the Earth. Why don't you? Because you are so much closer to the Earth. The dark matter would obey the same laws of gravity.

Did you read all my responses? How about wind on mars?

  • @TheHeather1985 @TheHeather1985 Pathfinder observed wind gust of 125 mph on mars during a dust storm, you can find it on NASA. However this is far from the 1000 mph that the fool claims.

  • @Chr1stLovedM3 You don't have to retype my name, the reply does it already. I found the data here:

    Google: Nasa, Pathfinder, Mars

Look Neph, facts! You rarely get to see these, with your myopic biblical literalist vision.

  • @NephilimFree @NephilimFree See this is what I was talking about! Heather is right about the speed of the wind on mars and it is verifiable. You talk about things which you know NOTHING about and you make Christians look like fools! Also, rather than take my advice, you called me an atheist and blocked me. Maybe God sent me to correct your actions, ever think of that! Now you make a fool of yourself.

  • @NephilimFree Oh Nephy. I calculated what the wind should average on mars if your theory is correct:

    2*pi*(3,397km radius of mars)/(24hrs/mars day)= 551 mph!

Not 1 thousand, and not even what pathfinder or viking observed. Are you ready to accept you don't know what you're talking about or are you just gonna run away. You could be honest and admit you're wrong.

  • @NephilimFree Come on Nephy don't tell me you don't want to debate anymore. Do you need that block option that badly? Why is it we don't observe the type of winds on mars that your 'Physics' predicts? Gasp! Could God's little Nephy be wrong? Could you be a scientifically illiterate hack? Are you too delusional and too in denial to face the reality that you're wrong, and that the Earth does rotate? Maybe you do need those meds Nephy. 'Specially since you believe killing children is okay.

  • Psychologists are extremely dangerous because they think that since the brain is an electrical-chemical device, they can "fix" it with chemicals and electrical shocks.

There are many schools of though in Psychology, but the Psychiatrists (who generally believe the above) have the power within institutions (over Psychologists who disagee with them), since they have extra training in dispensing medicines (bigger credentials).

We are spiritual beings, not mere machines. Leave room for God!

  • It is not a question of drugs, it is an issue of human rights and the forced drugging of the poor, by private corporations. Your body should be your choice, whether you wan't to take these drugs or any other drugs for that matter.

Most drugs harm the human body, when they are forced into the body of someone who doesn't wan't them through forced injection, it harms the human soul. The bodies of the poor are being exploited for the benefit of the rich, we all should have a right to choose.

  • My sister has liver tumors and feels WORSE mentally from taking her bipolar medication !- Healthy eating, fresh non fluoridated water , exercising , fresh air , positive thinking, herbal medicine and meditation is much better for you , than taking these toxic poisons from the drug lord pharmaceutical companies!

  • "scient"ology...

  • was this on tv?

  • scientology propganda.

  • where is Scientology being promoted in this video?

  • @FMLyeager regardless of whether they are overtly promoted, the documentary is created by scientology to push their agenda of demonizing psychology and psychiatry and push scientology as the true answer for people's problems. tis is just one segment from a larger "documentary" - you will find scientology references throughout the other segments...

  • @FMLyeager this is of course tricky because psychiatric meds are controversial and some work better than others and some are overprescribed - but diagnosis and medication for schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, epilepsy and even depression and anxiety has hugely improved many, many people's lives. this is an extremely one-sided and biased piece of propoganda. anyone watching this and being swayed by it's paranoid and emotional argument might do well to also learn more about real mental illness.

  • @JAYDUBYAH29 you are so right!!! I have been diagnosed with panic disorder and without my medications I would not be able to take care of my children due my constant overwelming feeling of having a heart attack. NO drug is perfect for every person but once find one that works you should take it as prescribed by your physician in order to maintain a healthy normal life.

  • @HazelEyedCountryGirl So, what did the "Doctor" (other than prescribe a drug) do to treat the panic attacks? Did you ever figure out what causes the panic attacks and did you exhaust all avenues of treatments before turning to a chemical substance?

  • @HazelEyedCountryGirl your missing the point, this documentary Contains more than 175 interviews with lawyers, mental health experts, the families of victims and the survivors themselves, this riveting documentary rips the mask off psychotropic drugging and exposes a brutal but well-entrenched money-making machine.

yeah some drugs may...improve our situation to a certain degree, or at least we may think they do (placebo effect) the power of suggestion is one of the best cures 4 mental problems

  • @HazelEyedCountryGirl Panic attacks run in my family. I Get them. You can talk your way out of them. And it gets easy once you learn how. Oh Yes, Smoking the plant that flowers helps also. That is a natural chemical with very little side effects besides a pleasant feeling.

  • Lord knows I have been in and out of psychiatirc programs because of major depressive disorder. I am now $10,000 in debt. I was forced into positions where I had to take out credit cards to pay 60% of cost for medications because I dont have good insurance. Till this day I am unemployed and the only thing keeping me alive is $1000 unemployment checks and low income housing. Psychiatry is a study and research, not a cure.

  • This stuff is so true, it is happening to my friend right now, and it is making me cry. I've showed him this video and continues to believe that the drugs are helping him. He's changed from the person I once knew, and I'm scared for his life. What do I do now?!? ~cries~

  • I dont see why people are freaking over this, just because certain medications make people feel worse then before doesnt mean its all b.s to everyone. We're all different. I have depression/anxiety and I have been taking Paxil, Wellbutrin and Lithium for awhile. If i was'nt on those meds, I'd prob kill myself. I feel ssooooo much better. Some of us ACTUALLY need meds, if they don't help you, then apparently your on the wrong stuff or you dont really need anything

  • This is true. Meds are complete bullshit. They ruined my life for 2 years. The doc put me on 23 different meds in less than 2 years time. That is nearly 2 different meds every month. I was given several "diagnosis" all bs. I refused to take meds during my pregnancy and found once I got off them I was happier than I'd been since beginning medications. The side effects were worse than the probs I was seeking meds for.

  • psychiatry kills

  • psychiatrists will torture and kill you while you cry and die. they laugh and go on vacation while you suffer by their hands. your government supports social control and destruction of humanity. stop pseudoscience psychiatry.

  • psychiatrists WILL KILL YOU.

  • I was prescribed prozac for bulimia nerviosa (incorrect diagnosis as I am a compulsive overeater) and offered no other form of help. Doc said to not leave the meds under any circumstance. After about 3 weeks of being a zombie I dumped prozac and discovered overeaters anon. My Doc was generaly into natural remedies for everything else. Shame that she didn't have info on eating disrdrs and depression other than drugs. So sad that docs and patients are kept in the dark for the sake of profit.

  • motherfuckingpsychiatricpharmaceuticals (word for the day)

  • This is clearly not made of people who researches the effect of psyhcotropic drugs, with an open mind, or anything close to that.

The statements is without clear proof, and are based on ideas, fantasy and not sufficient experience or practice, because if they had, they would never state that psychotropic drugs are strickly a threat to the mind of the human being.

Because that is straight out lie, that doesn't have anything sufficient to proof it.

  • @Jay5cl I read a book recently from John Virapen - Confessions of a pharma insider where he tells a story about how he help to make Prozac what it is today. If you'd know, you wouldn't touch it with a stick.

Btw Prozac is not approved drug in Sweden, guess why

  • @osmystatocny

I'd probably doubt if what you're saying is true, there's just one problem,

I know these people who takes this medicine,

I've seen them before they took it, suffering from delusion, from depression, from mood swings, and I've seen them while they took the medicine,

relaxed, happier, able to enjoy life again.

And if you've seen this yourself, you'd never care about what you've read in this book.

  • @janus5cl you may doubt it but that doesn't mean it isn't true.

not sure what people you've seen but yeah, even alcohol or any other illiegal drug makes you relaxed so no wonder. the other thing is that the efficiency is somewhere juuuuust above placebo effect; and with all the side effects...no reason to take it.

Similar to cancer. Chemotherapy is very effective in killing pacients because it's a toxic poison, not a medicine. Well, that's different topic for another time..

  • These pills are driven by our society, because everyone wants a quick fix which is offered by a pill. People do not want to work through life, or learn new skills on how to cope with their problems. No one wants to go to therapy, and work through their problems. There is no quick fix to mental health. There is work involved to get healthier.

  • a very IGNORANT movie, which only lets people see one side of the story. Don't blame psychiatry for the fact that people go to incompetent psychiatrists who's only focus is to make money and prescribe medication. This movie makes itself ridiculous for telling an objective "untold story". Every sane person would know that the pharmaceutical industry doesn't sell anything which does not make enough money. Get your facts straight and stop making people paranoid.

  • Please tell me if it is illegal for an adult in the USA to choose for themselves to go cold turkey in order to stop taking very addictive legally prescribed psychiatric drugs that they have been taking. Maybe there is a law somewhere that says if you don't want healing from a US healer, then you need to be destroyed. Or maybe some communist hunters may say that this cold turkey act is an assault on miracle free enterprise healing in the USA, and those communist hunters know what to do to heal.

  • The world today is an anxious and depressed one as compared with the way the world and people were 80 years ago- even until the 1970s. Today's crazy ideas as depicted in magazines, novels, movies garbage material goes into one's mind and generates feeling of insecurity and fear. Its a much more violent world today in general than it was 80 years ago. People never thought about locking their front doors during day light back then. When folks said they would pay later, you could trust their word.

  • These medications are a blessing for people who really need them. Years ago, bi-polars and schizophrenics were locked away in mental hospitals, in padded cells. Now many of these people leave productive lives in the world. Why don't you look around Mea Shearim, and see how many women mentally ill people are stumbling around muttering to themselves. By the way, frumlady, are you a physician? Do you have any background in neurobiology? If not, stop talking out of your tuchus.

  • @shellibai - if drugs are the answer and readily avail then why are there so many "mentally ill people are stumbling around muttering to themselves?" And just a comment about respect, you dont speak with any.

  • They are stumbling around and muttering to themselves because they don't get treatment because they are afraid that if other people find out, it will be hard to make shidduch for the siblings. You should at least admit the truth about how the Haraedim hide the mental illness and abuse in the community, as it is in all communities. Just ask the family of the woman who jumped out of the window with her child, or the women who show up at the mikveh bruised and battered.

  • lol I love how you Brought up NeuroBiology :) Can you explain to me how you know a person is Bi-Polar or Schizophrenic? Do you know what is wrong with them neurologically?

  • There are nerological changes seen in the mentally ill like psycho-motor retardation and polydipsis. These changes give clues that lead to a proper diagnosis.

  • polydipsis is also seen in Diabetics so this brings up the fact that anyone can be labeled as mentally ill by the pseudo-science of psychiatry!

  • YT has removed some of the 10 pt.Making a Killing . Someone is also trying to link Ron Paul, G.Edward Griffin, Alex Jones, Rima Laibow, Mike Adams & many others with the church of Scientology, whether they are or not, I have no idea & really don't care. These are great, informative vids. ty

  • The sheer lunacy of a pill popping culture needs to made clear to the gullible masses. When one considers that a frigging PLACEBO usually has measurable effects to the positive, you have to ask yourself just how much potential does the human body have to heal itself. Gee, if ONLY there was a method whereby we might tap that potential!

Well THAT'S what Scientology can do for you! Medical procedures change and improve ALL the time. Years from now, we'll all be horrified by the drug dependence.

  • What a suprise a Scientologist opposed to psychiatry, you guys need them the most to curb your paranoia fear and delusions that you are the thin line stopping the world from chaos. The sooner you get help brother the better.

    Google"All scientologists are nut cases"

  • This is part of the known plot against psychiatric treatment coming from the church of scientology.

It is simple, they want to destroy psychiatry at all costs, so there are more depressed people trying to find answers elsewhere and obviously one of those is the biggest mind-control ever invented by men, religion.

So, no drugs --> more sick people --> more desperation --> more people going to the church--> more money in their bank accounts.

  • that's the dumbest shit ive ever heard, period

  • are you trying to help people here?

cause this is some PARANOID SHIT.

  • No Sir... but, if it gets people to take a closer look and make a more informed decision on the medication the doctors are pushing and that helps them... I'm not against that. :)

  • it's not paranoid, i know a lot of people who DO NOT BENEFIT from their meds, i know like ten people , it doesnt help and most of them agree.

but a lot of them are addicted.

  • i think you misunderstood what i said. i've been taking prozac for 8 or 9 months at a time since i was 15, i know full well the effects they have on you.

i meant 'paranoid' in terms of, this documentary would fuel the paranoia of some people who suffer from mental illness - to the extent of maybe quitting thier medication over it. i stopped taking my meds after i saw another documentary, and i went down hill resulting in a manic episode.

  • i dig

  • @opalrok just because you are paranoid doesn't mean that the matrix of control doesn't have you already. Keep taking your Pills people, there is no reason to protest. Everything is OK

  • this shit fucked me up...xanax was the final drug that would help my depression after about 15 others...but pot really helps me...I cant find any pot anywhere...I stopped taking xanax over a year ago...

    I wish theyd legalize mJ;)

  • Preposterous. While i will admit there has been abuse of drugs within the field of Psychiatry, this is true of every major medical institution. In every bushel of apples there will be a few bad ones who are simply in it for cash. I would also like to point out the fact that cults do something similar, albeit with words and not drugs. They bend their members mental state and opinions inorder to fit the groups beliefs and goals. The hypocrisy is mind numbing.

  • They keep asking for blood tests as evidence.

That's like trying to find a computer virus by opening up the tower and looking inside...does that mean the virus is not in the computer?

While you can say that horrible things happen with mis-diagnoses and with corrupt individuals posing as doctors, it's not sensible to damn the entire industry. There are people out there who took up the profession to help people, and many do.

I hope no one avoids getting needed help just because of this video.

  • If the virus really is in the computer, it can be found.

    It's a reality, not a theory.

  • @NealF Yes, that's what I mean about the human brain. There can be things wrong with it that may not necessarily be physical.

Until we can fully learn how it works, we can only act on the information we have, unless we want to leave people in the states they are in. Sometimes it's best to try something than to do nothing.

The study of the mind is still an early science and it is the most difficult one since the brain is the one thing that we can not examine very easily without destroying it.

  • @NealF

Freedom of religion does not mean freedom to commit crimes in the name of religion. The abuses, corruption, embezzlement, extortion, blackmail and the mind-control practices of Scientology have to be stopped for the sake of all humanity. People have died, families across the world are divided by "disconnection." David Miscavige has mobilized numerous private investigators and spent some $10 million already to discredit, harass and silence key whistle blowers.

  • w w w . lermanet . c o m

    Google : "disconnection", fair game"

  • Go Scientology. Speak the truth!. Die Psychiatry and their supporters burn in hell for eternal fire!!! burn baby burn!!!!!!.

  • THIS is a super work you done again Thank you

  • Greetings Mind,

I think we can re-establish some meaningful debate and can get things back on track. By the way, my posting issues have been resolved. Thanks for all of the pointers and the personal message.

I'm done talking about Scientology; I promise ;-) The topic opens up a can of worms and derails the thread. Thanks for being so helpful, patient, and open-minded.

    Jeffrey

  • I re-watched the video and thought a very valid point was made about the advisability of psychiatrists and GP's prescribing psychotropics on the first visit. This can be extremely dangerous. For one thing, SSRI's have the potential to induce mania (which can cause erratic, violent, suicidal, psychotic behavior). This may help explain the relationship between SSRI's and suicide. An undiagnosed manic depressive would be a ticking time bomb if given an SSRI w/out an adjunct & close observation

  • Yes, I feel cognitive dissonance about Scientology. While I laud their efforts at fighting psych abuses, and honestly believe many of their programs and technologies have legitimate value, I'm sickened by the org's own repressive and exploitative actions.

Their good works are undermined by their own human rights abuses. I find it disgusting, for example, that they cull ex-members confidential auditing files for embarassing info to use as blackmail (e.g. religiousfreedomwatchdotcom).

  • I just wanted to clarify my views on Scientology for Richard. I'm quite ambivalent about this organization as it has a strong record of fighting for human rights and against them.

I've came to a place where I can appreciate the value of CCHR's very professional and compelling videos despite my disappointment with the Scientology org. As mentioned previously, the CCHR isn't composed soley of Scientology zealots. Furthermore, the soundness of the video's arguments is what really matters

  • Greetings Mind,

I was a bit tired when I entered my posts, so it's very possible this was an 'operator error' issue. I know for a fact that I entered a '.com' link in one of my posts. And my post was a dandy! Oh well.

  • I'm missing two posts as well. Perhaps MindCrimes thought we were derailing the thread with extraneous material? I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. I posted a response to RichardTaitor, outlining my concern with how ex-members and critics were treated on the RFW website. Oh well--maybe MindCrimes can explain his motivations.

  • Did I miss something? I had a post eariler when I asked you to YouTube RPF, Lisa McPhereson, Cult Awareness Network, Operation Snow White, Disconnection, human trafficking, and now its gone. Did you get a chance look into these things...for the 5 time? did ya? Why is my post missing. CCHR is a Scientology front group. FACT

  • While there are people who actually need some of these drugs, for everyone who needs a pill there are a thousand taking them...

What's particularly disturbing is what goes on in Children's Psychiatric Wards and Foster Care, there's no accountability, no transparency, and no justice for these kids. No one helps those kids, the people who are supposed to help them only hurt them in ways most people wouldn't even imagine, and there's no justice.

  • Greetings Mind,

Thank you for kind message. I really enjoy your intelligent dialogue and YouTube site. You seem like a real straight shooter. I'm a psychiatric survivor, which shouldn't imply I don't take psychotropic medication. It does mean I think psychiatry needs major reform.

Richard, whilst I can understand your contempt for Scientology, I think you're being overly critical of Mind Crimes and making unfounded accusations. One can oppose psychiatry w/out being a Scientologist.

  • Thank You Sir. I agree with you, I think there are a lot people that legitimately need the drugs to function in society and have a half way normal life dealing/ living with mental illness. Believe me, I understand. On the other hand I think the Doctors are negligent in their diagnosis and in medicating the average Individual. Most could talk through their problems along with some exercises confronting their issue(s). I think it's a corrupt system that needs serious reform and regulation.

  • However, whilst I agree that mental illness is a misnomer (a mind literally can't be ill), I do agree that there are legitimate brain disease that some people call 'mental illnesses.' Nevertheless, there is a huge problem with 'diagnostic creep,' whereby psychiatrists and psychologists overdiagnose to secure payment. Also, there are many abuses in psychiatry including overmedication, forced treatment, and widespread corruption given the cozy relationship with pharmaceutical companies.

  • no such thing as mental illness in any sense. You're mistaken.

  • This is Scientology propaganda. Got a broken car? Call a mechanic, Got a broken tooth? Call a dentist, Got mental illness? call an actor like Tom Cruise. Come on look into Lisa McPherson and see how $cientology really helps the mentally ill. RIP Jett Travolta

  • So, I get your whole "I hate Scientology" act... and it's a good one....but are you saying everyone prescribed Psychotropic Drugs needs them or do you just hate lil Tommy Cruise? :) I'm sure if we all use our brains we would agree that not everyone needs these drugs and they are hurting a lot of people out there by prescribing these drugs like they are a "fix all." Oh your sad about your dog dying..here take this pill. :)

  • I see the definition for Totalitarian on your page, German courts ruled Scientology a Totalitarian Organization. Scientology writings also say to turn everything around on your accusers, so you can see why people are assuming you are affiliated with Scientology. Hope this explains some things if you are not a SciFag and if you are a Scilon know that everyone is keen to your schtick, word is spreading faster on the side of righteous than it is the CULT. Peace

  • I think a distinction should be made between the official Church of Scientology and independent Scientologists. Whilst current management has dragged the work of the CCHR through the mud with their own unsavory behavior (e.g. blackmail, money-obsessed, violent, abusive, exploitive, suppressive), there are many freedom-loving Scientologists who practice outside the confines of current regime. Groups like Ron's Org practice Scientology without abusing their members or breaking the law.

  • Actually, it's the definition to Totalitarianism not totalitarian. Thanks for the history lesson on Germany's "rules." I'm not a cult member of Scientology. Also, "schtick" is spelled "shtick"... smart guy. So what's my "shtick" since you seem to know so much? What are you keen to exactly? If you would do a little reading you would know my view points! You should have your sh!t straight before you come on here pointing your finger and crying about how much you hate Scientology.

  • Sure thing there buddy. If your not a $cientologist then my comments arent offensive. Thanks for grading my comment, are you also an english teacher on the side? Did you look up LISA McPHERSON? U like crimes against humaninty? Her case is appalling. Big Caek

    -shtick

Variant(s): also schtick or shtik \ˈshtik\

    Function: noun

Etymology: Yiddish shtik pranks, literally, piece, from Middle High German stücke, from Old High German stucki; akin to Old English stycce piece, Old High German stoc stick

  • It's only offensive when people like you come on here popping off at the mouth about Scientology when the video is about Psychotropic's. Lets debate the info in the video instead of Scientology. If you want yo debate Scientology find a cult member and tear them down with that vicious rhetoric your swinging around. If your really serious about fighting the cult, Darren Brown probably isn't the best weapon. Find better information! AnonymousTuther has some really great anti Scientology videos.

  • I think MindCrimes has a valid point. It really doesn't matter if Scientology and the CCHR are related. What matters is the soundness of the argument. It should also be noted that CCHR is not composed soley of Scientologists, but was co-founded by Dr. Thomas Szasz (arguably the most famous psychiatric critic). It's true that the CCHR has had defectors and critics (including Dr. Breggin), but that's true of any organization. I used to subscribe to the notion that mental illness was a myth..

  • After reading threw our thread I indeed seemed to start out by swinging rhettoric, my apologies. My page is vague on purpose, I am just here to reunite families/shed light. I agree with this video PERIOD. Seems as though $cientology is using what we believe strongly in as a mechanism to gain more wealth, reason enough to research some of my earlier points (did ya get a chance, let me know?). I am familiar with AnonTruther ;) Another apology, just stirring ever pot to find loved 1s u'd do da same

  • It's cool Richard... I understand "the hunt!" As far as the docu go's I don't believe everything this video is offering up. They're putting some spin on the information and it's very one sided but, there are a lot of valid points, facts, and stories of peoples experiences with these medications. If this video helps or save one child's/ persons life from one of these crooked doctors who pass out pills like it's candy... then its all worth it. I'll check into of that info and get back to you. ;)

  • I agree one life is more than worth it. I have had a doctor try to give me Oxycontin for an ear ache and another try to give my 5 month old baby a Swine Flu shot. Its BS and you know they are getting Mexican vacations and $peaking opportunities outta pushing pills. The other hand I have a friend that is SO Manic that it is like he is on crack unless he gets his lithium. What are we to do but question it. I am on board. Scientology one of the most interesting things u will ever research, gareens

  • Atheist82x, I think you make an interesting point about the most vulnerable being subjected to the most disgusting abuse. Whilst I love these CCHR videos (they're extremely professional and have compelling testimonials), they seem to overlook this segment of the population.

I'm particularily saddened to see old women at nursing homes showing all the tell-tale signs of tardive dyskinesia and akathisia from being medicated with phenothiazines and antipsychotics.

  • These drugs are being used a means of social control. This is wrong, and the drugs are being forced on people who can't resist them. The inner turmoil and anxiety that is caused by akathisia is inexplicable. I've had it before, and I've actually ripped an IV out of my arm due akathisia caused by Compazine.

Unfortunately, the victims appear calm on the outside, but they are tortured on the inside. The docs, nurses, and caretakers use these drugs as babysitters. It's terribly immoral.

  • Hey Richard,

I think you meant 'oxycodone,' not "oxycontin." The latter is the time-released version, which is used for chronic pain. The former is more typically used for acute pain. I have severe refractive pain so I know a little about these medications.

Anyway, I understand your point about some people actually needing these drugs to function. That's where I diverge with Scientology. Thanks for your previous post where you showed a lot of class by apologizing to MindCrimes.

  • TY for clarifying I will take your word, it was one of the oxys.

I have a 6 year old niece who on the same day of her 6mo vax seized, almost dying (14min of CPR before the ambulance came). So the vax triggered a preexisting condition but without the meds she has now for her sick mind she dies. Go figure. The bottomline is that $ has taken center stage but we cant go and throw the baby out w/ the bathwater. Would you take the time to watch some Scientogy vids and spread awareness? TY letme know

  • Greetings Richard,

I'm sorry to hear about your niece and her allergic reaction, seizure, and resultant health consequences. I should dare to ask (if you want to answer) if she has autism or a disorder on the autistic spectrum. I know a lot of families think there is a correlation between receiving vaccations and resultant autistic symptoms, even though the medical community denies a causal relationship. I will address Scientology's alleged abuses in my next message.

  • Greetings MindCrimesInc,

I just wanted to laud your efforts at educating the public about psychiatric abuses, which are undoubtedly genuine (but are often minimized or exaggerated). Also, thanks for allowing people who personally disagree with you to express their own vantage point. There are definately practictioners who prescribe drugs (or even ECT) as a matter of rote for economic or ideological reasons. However, there is a valid role for VOLUNTARY treatment of severe brain dysfunction.

  • Thank you for the kind words and Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this subject. We need more people on here like you getting involved in level headed debate. Keep up the good fight!

  • can't let down all psychiatric, because for some peoples with really serious and visible diseas that can help but for sadness and like that ? maybe.. .but who know

  • Psychologists and counselors don't do their jobs and send off their bamboozled clients to psychiatrists.

  • I went off my medications in the mid 90's after becoming enamored with the writings of Peter Breggin, Thomas Szasz, and the CCHR. Also, I became involved with the anti-psychiatry movement. Unfortunately, my rigid ideology resulted in negative consequences for my health and I ultimately ended up on a respirator in the ICU. Yes, psychiatric drugs are often misprescribed for problems of living. However, some people have brain diseases that can be successfully managed with psychotropic drugs.

  • $cientology kills, so does psychiatry

  • Psychotropic meds can be *sometimes* dolled out inappropriately. Also, more epidemiological research should be conducted and translated into practice in the form of medical tests. HOWEVER, I think this film romanticizes mental illness. Psychoactive meds can sometimes create problems; sometimes they can help as well. Why trash what exists to help people? Why not be a researcher, and help figure it out?! It is easier to be critical than to join the fight to help those suffering from mental illness.

  • !!!!Are You a Psyq!!! you probably are AHH??!!!

  • because it hurts more people than it helps. You can't help every cause out there you support it's impossile

  • OMG! I can't believe psychiatrists have the nerves to put little children on psychotropic drugs. What the fuck? Our society is so based around profit and business dealing that we don't even realize how much control the country has on everything we consume. Seriously, think of it like this, every type of emotion we have, there's a different size, shape and color pill waiting for us. This is really so true and sad about any type of drug. Die Scientology!!!!!!!!!!

  • many people who know others that are on meds and blame their problems on not enough dose or etc, as opposed to using social skills and communicating. We are out of touch with our and each other needs. We have horrible social skills. Thats why we talk to the people who we think care the most much more then others we know. or eat fast food etc. When we put our families first less problems occur. When we are selfish...the opposite. I just wish I could act this out without the adderall
