Yes, her American Indian dark looks are beautiful, her Romanesque nose, the beautiful jet-black silky hair.. She was the first non-blonde American woman to appear on the cover of "Vogue" in 1970.. eventhough she had been told the year before that she looked too ethnic to be on the cover.. Boy, has things changed in America..

yes she did. She is a contralto with what they call a dark timbre. Meaning she can sing some parts lower than men. What a lot of people dont know however, is that she actually has an unusually good range for someone with that voice. She can sing some pretty high notes.
