It's hard to believe in someone that you can't see, but I promise that God is real. I'm not going to start a religious debate or anything, I just want to let you all know that He loves you, and will never leave you.
Really nice song. I was christened but i don't believe in what the books or what ppl tell me i only believe in what i see each day. And i'm happy with that. Some ppl take religion too seriously. End of day no one really knows what is real or not. But are entitled to believe what they like if it makes them feel better. But i do believe this is a very cool song and good band ;O)
That's where faith comes in. You have to know that there is more to life than believing what you see. God is real, and you can't take Him too seriously. He wants to be the center of your life so that you can be with him in heaven someday, when you pass away. Because other than that, what is the real point in living? Jesus loves you, and He is real. It can be hard to believe in Him, because you don't see Him, but He is very real.

Because i will only believe what i hear from the horses mouth, so to speak. Problem is, there is too many different religions and faiths. Surely they can't all be right. @jaydeasy If you want to hear it from the horse's mouth, read the Bible. Try praying to God. He's there. He might not answer right away, but he will answers your prayers. Yes, you do need to enjoy your life, but you need to know that there's something more. You don't want to wait until after you die, because like you said, we aren't on this planet for long, and you don't want to be too late. There are many, many religions and faiths, but only one of them can be real.

@jaydeasy Archaeologists have found evidence that the Bible is real, and science confirms the Bible in so many different ways. And how could aliens make things like us? We are made in the image of God, and if we were made in the image of aliens, then we would look like aliens. The Bible is not just stories that someone else has written. They are prophesies and promises from God, it isn't a book of fairytales. What sort of evidence of aliens have you seen?

I also believe there is other life in the universe to. There is alot in the bible that don't make sense tho,and can't be bothered to debate it lol. @LanaDouma I think that nobody knows how the universe came into being. We've got scientists to try figure that out and hopefully will within my lifetime. I want to have an understanding of the universe, it is one of my greatest passions, to understand. I think all humanity shares that. Sure, religion offers an explanation for it but from what I can see, that explanation is wrong. It is not based on evidence but faith. Explanations without evidence have a terrible track record. I think we see beauty in this universe because it is our home. Regardless of what it were like, we would think it beautiful. @LanaDouma I do question evolution. I looked up the evidence for it before I believed it. However, I've seen so much evidence for it that it I would consider it a fact at this stage. As much a fact as any other.
Do some reading on it. It's very tough for scientists to explain it in simple terms that we lay-people can understand but once you do, your mind will be blown. It's confusing at first, but eventually it will make sense to you, I promise. Provided you research it with an open mind.
@LanaDouma The church does accept evolution as a fact by the way, in case it matters to you. The only part of your belief that would have to change is that we were created exactly as we are by god. If you accept evolution(as most religious leaders do) then you can still believe that god created life itself in such a way so that it would eventually evolve to what it has become today, it's not a huge contradiction.
Oh, and I'm 16. I was raised a Catholic and became an atheist when I was 10.
@cm3007235 yea my church doesnt acccept it, i go to a private school and anyhitng evolution is wrong. they never talked about there being two differnt kinds like big things happining in small amounts of time or small things happening in a large amount of time. i dontt believe that we came from monekys, but we could be evolving very slowly like you say.and the reason i asked is because you kknow alot to be 16, because most teenagers dont care, or dont care enough to look into it.
@LanaDouma Evolution doesn't say that we came from monkies. People who bash evolution say that all the time. We are related to them though, we share a common ancestor from a few million years ago. Basically, there was a species back then. Then, a split occured. Some of them eventually evolved into modern humans, some into chimpanzees, some into bonobos etc...

Our DNA shows that we are a 99% match to them, fossils show that we were even more alike to them in the past (look at a skull of a human and a skull of a chimp from a few million years ago, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference) There are dozens of other things too. 2nd- We have many different races because people live in many different parts of the world. Different living conditions= different evolution.
3rd- They don't use carbon dating. There are dozens of other ways to date fossils. Google "methods of dating fossils" if you want to see them
@LanaDouma It's not just the fact that we're similiar that makes us thinks that we're related. It's a combination of all the different evidence that points to us being related. There's a website called "talk origins" which explains evolution and the evidence for it. It gets very "sciency" so it's tough to understand though, try it though

@LanaDouma I would consider it a pure fact to be honest. I don't understand all the evidence, but what I know is enough to completely convince me. Even without the evidence, when you understand the theory it makes so much sense. It's like the moment when "the penny drops". It's so simple and it makes so much sense. It's hard to imagine how life could be the way it is without it. I'm sure you feel like this about god too.
@LanaDouma Oh, and you ending question, we ARE still evolving. However, the changes are really small. Basically, the species makes a really tiny change every generation. Over many generations the changes become noticable. You can look at fossils of people from tens of thousands of years ago, they look very different to how we do now. You can see that the species has evolved.
However, we actually can see evolution happening right now in insects because generations happen more often for them
@LanaDouma just a tip, I'm a christian, and yeah evolution is real but not like the textbooks teach, thats called macro evolution (long term, big changes and what not) i do believe in macro evolution, (small changes over long term) it fits in with Christianity and science, and its the kind of changes you see all over the place in animals and what not, go Google it if you like, the difference between the two. might help a little bit. trust me, stick to christianity, it won't lead you wrong.
I agree, everything is too complex to be made by chance. God is the creator of the universe and He keeps it in motion. It's easy to question it sometimes. I know I have. But believing in God with your own mind is so important.

@StonedCrackerofHell It DIDN'T happen. This whole myth about Jesus being born of a virgin started when the bible was translated from Hebrew to Greek. They messed up the translation. It went from "YOUNG WOMEN" to "VIRGIN". Not a difficult mistake to make, all things considered. You can look this up if you want, this is a FACT and yet the church deny it. Although I think some protestant traditions aknowledge it.

People have found evidence of the Bible with science. But it's not just that. Being a believer is having faith in Jesus Christ. You can't physically see him, but you have to have faith that He's there. I promise that He is. He has blessed my life so much. He has made it complete. The push for a unified one world economy, Israel doing practice sacrifices, the middle east rivalry is on the rise (I know it's been going for awhile), A one world religion (It's happening, google it), All major religions are expecting their messiah soon (our beasts), the anticipation of a new age cleansing/ renewal, the anticipation of aliens coming, etc. All of these are signs pointed towards the period of woes and tribulation.

I have thought about how these predictions are coming through at one time, but when you really sit down and think about it, it actually isn't very unlikely that it's just a coincidence. @LanaDouma I think that nobody knows how the universe came into being. We've got scientists to try figure that out and hopefully will within my lifetime. I want to have an understanding of the universe, it is one of my greatest passions, to understand. I think all humanity shares that. Sure, religion offers an explanation for it but from what I can see, that explanation is wrong. It is not based on evidence but faith. Explanations without evidence have a terrible track record. @LanaDouma I do question evolution. I looked up the evidence for it before I believed it. However, I've seen so much evidence for it that it I would consider it a fact at this stage. As much a fact as any other.
Do some reading on it. It's very tough for scientists to explain it in simple terms that we lay-people can understand but once you do, your mind will be blown. It's confusing at first, but eventually it will make sense to you, I promise. Provided you research it with an open mind.

@LanaDouma The church does accept evolution as a fact by the way, in case it matters to you. The only part of your belief that would have to change is that we were created exactly as we are by god. If you accept evolution(as most religious leaders do) then you can still believe that god created life itself in such a way so that it would eventually evolve to what it has become today, it's not a huge contradiction.
Oh, and I'm 16. I was raised a Catholic and became an atheist when I was 10.

@cm3007235 yea my church doesnt acccept it, i go to a private school and anyhitng evolution is wrong. they never talked about there being two differnt kinds like big things happining in small amounts of time or small things happening in a large amount of time. i dontt believe that we came from monekys, but we could be evolving very slowly like you say.and the reason i asked is because you kknow alot to be 16, because most teenagers dont care, or dont care enough to look into it.

@LanaDouma Evolution doesn't say that we came from monkies. People who bash evolution say that all the time. We are related to them though, we share a common ancestor from a few million years ago. Basically, there was a species back then. Then, a split occured. Some of them eventually evolved into modern humans, some into chimpanzees, some into bonobos etc...

Our DNA shows that we are a 99% match to them, fossils show that we were even more alike to them in the past (look at a skull of a human and a skull of a chimp from a few million years ago, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference) There are dozens of other things too. There's a website called "talk origins" which explains evolution and the evidence for it. It gets very "sciency" so it's tough to understand though, try it though

Even without the evidence, when you understand the theory it makes so much sense. It's like the moment when "the penny drops". It's so simple and it makes so much sense. @LanaDouma Oh, and you ending question, we ARE still evolving. However, the changes are really small. Basically, the species makes a really tiny change every generation. Over many generations the changes become noticable. You can look at fossils of people from tens of thousands of years ago, they look very different to how we do now. You can see that the species has evolved.
However, we actually can see evolution happening right now in insects because generations happen more often for them

@LanaDouma just a tip, I'm a christian, and yeah evolution is real but not like the textbooks teach, thats called macro evolution (long term, big changes and what not) i do believe in macro evolution, (small changes over long term) it fits in with Christianity and science, and its the kind of changes you see all over the place in animals and what not, go Google it if you like, the difference between the two. might help a little bit. trust me, stick to christianity, it won't lead you wrong.

It went from "YOUNG WOMEN" to "VIRGIN". Not a difficult mistake to make, all things considered. You can look this up if you want, this is a FACT and yet the church deny it. Although I think some protestant traditions aknowledge it.

The push for a unified one world economy, Israel doing practice sacrifices, the middle east rivalry is on the rise (I know it's been going for awhile), A one world religion (It's happening, google it), All major religions are expecting their messiah soon (our beasts), the anticipation of a new age cleansing/ renewal, the anticipation of aliens coming, etc. All of these are signs pointed towards the period of woes and tribulation.

I have thought about how these predictions are coming through at one time, but when you really sit down and think about it, it actually isn't very unlikely that it's just a coincidence. @Brendan0988 I haven't really seen any 'fighting' over religious beliefs on this video. At least, it's pretty much died before it started. But yes, people, Christian or not, you came to this video because you're a Skillet fan (or soon to be, yes?), there's no need for us to argue!

@Brendan0988 i believe that if u dont go out to the world and talk about it you are not a real christian because it says in the bible to go out and proclaim your salvation to the world in the bible so if u don't want to tell people either you are not a christian or you are just misunderstood
