Like to told DaisyDuke898, google the origins of the word "Soccer". It's been in our "Yank Lexicon" for nearly 100 years since the English created the word. The World Cup teams in USA are VERY different than the rest of the world!!!! EVERY team in teh world chooses teh best players and they play together. In America - you gotta REALLY KISS SOME ASS if you want to be on the World Cup team - and this MAY mean playing poorly - ON PURPOSE - against the coaches team in regular play!!!!!!!!

The problem is - the COACH chooses the world cup team - so he chooses those that pay him or does as he says!!!!! ONLY in America!!!!!!

For starters, no players can play poorly against the "coaches team" in "regular play" because the coach doesn't have one. He's the coach of the national team and only the national team. Coaching a "regular" team would be a conflict of interest.

Players all over the world get thrown off teams for not doing as the coach asks. Not just here. Ask France who benched and sent players home before they were eliminated. Or Mexico in 2006 when Blanco was left off their team.
