@goldsaint89 He's from the "Stone Prisoner" DLC, you buy an item for him from a merchant marked on your world map and then have the town he is in marked on your map.

I use Shale in my party in every play through. She's an amazing tank, and does decent damage once you get the higher end gem weapons.

You really don`t know how to play rogues, do you? They can be deadly given the right tactics. Also, you should try to play your whole group when in combat instead of just Morrigan. Or at least, give them some tactics to rely upon. No wonder they keep dying.

I think she's her own class. I read on the wiki she get skills no one else gets, as well a "gemstone" class armor no one else can use.

But, then again, I don't have the DLC or her, so I could be wrong >.>

I think she can Tank, Melee dps, Ranged dps, and act as a support totem thingie that buffs the party.

When moving between adjoined areas (like going from a forest to deeper in the forest), you need to physically move from one area to the next. Everything else is click-on-the-map movement with random interruptions like running into bandits, darkspawn, or merchants. See 7:36 for an example of fast travel.
