It was also a minor hit in 1966 for the Cryin' Shames, whose record was notable as one of the final productions by the great, tragic Joe Meek. Duffy's version was recorded as the theme song for a documentary about Meek.

  • You should check out Duffy recording Syrup & Honey ... you'd see she records on vintage equipment ... she don't need no computer crap. BTW the original version was by the Drifters
