I have not shown in about 8-9 years. I did show in TICA and CFA. We started the first TICA club in the area of Syracuse NY. Our club disbanded several years ago, sadly. Did Percy make title?

Feb of 2006. I adopted him when he was 2 1/2. Persians are a LOT of work. Are you dedicated enough to have to comb a cat EVERY OTHER DAY all year long? If you don't their coats mat. Persians are one of the breeds most often dumped at shelters or like Percy - tossed out on the street - because people buy them on a whim then don't want to give them the care they need.
I honestly don't think I would be dedicated enough to take care of a Persian. I know that you have to keep them groomed because of their coats matting up. I think I will just stick to just collecting pictures of them. I just can't see how people could be so mean to a Persian cat and toss them out on the street like that.

If somebody "manhandled" my persian Janelle like that she would have their head on a stick! Just kiddin... even though Janelle would qualify looks-wise, she is not a show quality cat character-wise - she would hate all the noise around her....
Percy's not as tolerant now. This was his first show. The last show one of the rings the judge called me up to remove him from the cage because he was sitting there hissing at him lol He has a show this weekend up in BC - I'm hoping "Percy" goes with me this time and leaves "Pissy" at home lol
We saw this same judge at another show this weekend. Percy was in a pissy mood and tried to chomp his hand while she was holding his face looking at him lol She still gave him a 3rd, though lol

I registered my newly adopted Exotic Shorthair as "Penelope Princess of Pumpkin" so she has a foofy name like the other show cats lol She's "Grand Master" from her first show. The shelter had her there to be adopted and had her competing. She made it into the finals in nine of the twelve rings and won a "Best of" Shorthair.

With his points from this show he made Master and from this last show he's now Grand Master :) Not sure if you saw the Classic Tabby Exotic Shorhair competing as a HHP (because we don't have papers - she's a surrender) at this last show. I ended up adopting her from Purrfect Pals. There's some vids of her on my account.

Congratulations Percy. This judge is one of my favorite judges. She's such a great cat person. She interacts so well with the cats and their owners.
