@bettyskitchen Hi Betty! Thnx for your recipes. You said these noodles don't have to be boiled . Is that because you used the no-boil kind of noodles or regular noodles?
@footykrazy You don't have to boil the lasagna noodles in this recipe. That's why I call it the "easiest!" In my other lasagna recipes, the noodles have to be boiled.
@bettyskitchen hello first i would like to say i love the videos i think its good that its not too time consuming seeing how these days people are in a rush and need a great homecooked meal thats easy and fun for everyone and second i always wonder if you can use feta instead of cottage cheese and how would it taste ???

This is the second American video I've seen where cottage cheese and eggs are used as the white sauce instead of the traditional béchamel sauce. I've never seen this before. Even though I love cottage cheese, I'm not convinced this would taste nice. How would you compare it to the béchamel sauce lasagna?
@sinkvenice The type of lasagna typically made where I live has either cottage cheese or ricotta cheese. I don't know how it would compare with the way you make it.
@bettyskitchen Have you ever tried to make it with béchamel sauce? If not, I highly recommend it! I'm from London, England and I don't think anybody here has heard of the ricotta or cottage cheese version. I think I'll give it a go to compare! You never know, it might start a new phemonenon!
@sinkvenice It is actually what I grew up on. To be honest, sometimes I have a taste for it, and sometimes the traditional Either way, it is actually tasty! You should try some :P
@sinkvenice I have had both, the bechamel kind and the cottage cheese kind. I grew up with the bechamel sauce, but came to find cottage cheese to be a nice alternative. it isn't as creamy, but it is nice and fresh and really milky, which I think works great with the tomato sauce. the cool milky flavor meeting the tard, tangy tomato sauce. Try it, I am sure you'll enjoy it.

When I make my lasagna I use similar ingredients but cover the top with shredded mozzarella cheese so that it doesn't dry out when it is refrigerated afterwards. Plus I will add some cream to my sauce to make it a rosee type sauce to cut the acidic taste of the sauce. This looks delicious!
betty, good tip for you! put the water in the recipe, right into the sauce jar to rinse out every bit of the sauce from the jar.. love your shows, i watch often. good stuff!

Hi Betty =). So this was my first ever attempt at making lasagna, and it was so delicious that my picky sister actually went for seconds...sorry, FOURTHS. Lol. I followed the recipe exactly but found it to be extremely runny. It tasted amazing though (especially with the cottage cheese). I keep wondering though if it was the yogurt that made mine pretty runny. Thanks for the great recipe, Betty. I will definitely try this one again =)
@swtkandii Thanks for the great feedback! I can't imagine why it was runny. You can cut back on the water; I always use yogurt, and it sets up, but is still moist.
Hey bettye i'm making this tomorrow. Quick question, is it safe to make the lasagna before church, and then bake it lets say 3 hours when I get back? If not, I will go ahead and just do the whole process when I get back.
HI Bettye, this looks great! I will definitely be trying this next weekend. A few questions. You didn't say exactly how many lbs of ground beef you used, what is your suggestion. Also, this may be a stupid question, but I didn't see you drain the meat, did you skip that process, or is the fact that you used low fat eliminate the need for draining.
@Whitneyluva Thanks for your lovely comment! I use 1 pound lean ground beef. (You can see the complete recipe by clicking "more info" in the right side bar.)
This looks great. The middle layer looks so much easier than what I usually do (make a bechamel/cheese sauce). Must try it.
I usually put the lasagna sheets on the bottom of the baking dish before any meat sauce. It makes the lasagna easier to scoop out - they still come out fully cooked. Thanks Betty.
I hope you had an opportunity to try the lasagna. It's really easy and tastes great! I like your idea of placing the lasagna sheets on the bottom of the baking dish. Thanks for a great tip!
