I saw this film as a teen and thought it was the coolest! Have not seen anything since to compare it with, so it remains iconic in my mind. As far as written SF goes, nobody - NOBODY - compares to Stehen Baxter.

I cant stand moorcocks writing as he goes on and on and on with the build up of the story without very little plot. But when i saw this film it made his writing look amazing , As you can so see that its around the same time as Clockwork Orange bits of Barbarella , logans run. But it is big slab of camp trash
Osh kosh b'gosh! You should try some of his other stuff...lots of easy-reading fantasy is thass yer bag or you could taste the glory of the deeply- and crazily-researched Pyat books...
Oh yeah Ive been through stack of moorcocks books over n over again, and Nope he aint a very good Author at all, I started to read his stuff when i was about 12. Im 40 now , and i have gone back to the stuff when i was 35 , and it still didnt get anybetter, Back to the film camp and nonsense
Ah, well, de gustibus non disputandum etc. I think a lot of reviewers might differ on the matter, but I'm prejudiced - grew up on the stuff, like dog milk for early Romans.
@skawashers Have you read the Connells Chronicles which the story is base on. Oh, I love the movie and have it on VHS! Doesn't he channel some of his stories from that lady who lives in the future? And, have you read those books which are written in some future language. I also have the same feeling about his works! Connelle trying to get his sister back from is evil brother!
@skawashers Maybe you didn't properly get the gist of what Moorcock was conveying through his characters and concepts. As far as the film goes...I don't think this is what Moorcock had in mind.
The movie is a disappointment in comparison with the excellent book. Saying that I loved the film as well...it looks dated but its still worth a watch. Moorcock is a pretty decent writer and his Jerry Cornelius novels are some of his best work.

Jon Finch is perfectly cast. Great movie.

It's pretty funny at the end when Jerry Cornelius' black nail polish magically turns crimson red!

One of my "all time faves". Stylish, futuristic and surreal with dark humour.

Awesome. Altrough I think Moorcook really hated the movie... But visually, it looks great. (Esp. that giant pinball machine!)
