ok, i know this comment is extremely late and that you may have found out about this already and that you might have said it in a later video but the anal part of me (anal as in the mental condition where you must be in control and have a clean room etc.) just have to say it (oh and the "know-it-all" in me agrees) The reason for why the zombie was in your cave system was because mobs spawn everywhere as long as it's dark and as long as it's at least 25 blocks or more between you and a dark area.

when you kill a skeleton, grab the bones, put them in a furnace, you get bonemeal, and with that, right click it over a sapling and the tree grows instantly :D

Slime Mobs have been coded out for quite while now. Which is fine, seeing how the slime balls have no good use.

I actually like how you create various landmarks as you explore. I usually just do torches on the right, but you build arches, and little podiums, and other things. It's rather interesting.

@xdizzy12 Leaf decay was first added functional and working 100% at Beta, back at the halloween update you could wait about a day, maybe a minecraft week sometimes. That's why it back then, was recommended to remove the leaves to get the saplings necessary to balance your income of wood/planks/whatever has something to do with the trees you plant.
