In the Koran,as far as I know, as a Muslim we can't eat pork, blood, carnivore & rotten animals and drink anything that make us drunk. For slaughtering, as far as I know, we have to say Bismillah and drain the blood out of the animal body. We, as Muslims, can eat everything from the sea, even it's rotten.
That's what I know and I'm a Muslim. I always do my best to eat Halal food because I live in USA.

It looks like the small deer was shot in the field and prepared, but as stated, it was shot over the weekend and hung to chill. Do not try this on a freshly killed animal as Rigor mortis sets in for the first 24 hours of death - using game in the rigor mortis stage makes for a very tough and chewy meal even though it may taste fine.
