Great show.
Sounds like you suffered from the sound bouncing off the Southern Stand, and consequently were hearing everything twice. Was this the case? I went to a U2 gig like that and it pissed me off.

We weren't too bad where we were, but further back the sound was echoing

If the echo is you guys singing then you should be on stage - nice voices!
the MCG is not a great locale for concerts. In Melbourne, I think large outdoor shows are best at either the Music Bowl or Docklands.
