  • Nice to hear this. I didn't expect Vinnie Moore was this good.

  • My hero

  • I like to pee on the side of the toilet bowl to make less noise

  • @lordzippo96 me too. glad im not he only one.

  • It's the hair, Cotton! Feathered and beautiful!

  • This video doesn't have bad quality!!

Its the pixels moshing each other to this song!!! \m/

  • I listen vinnie play in Conversano, italy last 29 november...i remember that me and my friend still shout "BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS" and then vinnie came back on the stage and said " For those two guys another one song"

    VINNIE MOORE ROCK

  • Adorei as musicas desse cara,Feeling impessionante.

  • it needs skills to play this of course but i think many a guitar player is way more musical than moore in this song

  • Can't wait for the 2080's ^_^

  • @guardytube hehe :D

  • This is my favourite guitarist! He Rocks!

  • If Anybody wants to here A DRIVING Beat Listen to "Amon Amarth" (The gods of war Arise) You will love it.

  • THis sounds like shit.. and this is comin from a vinnie moore fan.. the maze is better

  • This is by far my favorite instrumental tune of all times !!!

  • Back in the good old MTV glory days when Snooki from Jersey Shore wasn't born yet

  • oh man i love this guy !!!

  • Holy shit!!! This video explains why I love rock and metal!

  • holy shit!!! i could fap to this and i will!!!

  • Dunno why I've always had the impression that this song is a girl talking.

  • Anyone notice how all the 80's guitar gods but Malmsteen has slowed down and got more bluesy and colorful

  • Would a ibanez ts9dx tubescreamer work for this?

  • @Fernandez3995 a ibanez ts9dx tubescreamer coupled with a high level of skill would work for this ;)

  • @Fernandez3995

I think it would. And maybe a Laney AOR amplifier, because he used those.

  • Had the honor to play a show with him last night, if you think he's amazing on youtube, then you'd be blown away in person!!!!!

  • Guys and girls!

For your information, MTV only had about an hour or so a week with this kind of entertainment, if you missed it you had to wait another week for headbangers ball, and it was filled with bad interwievs.

The real metal people was allways neglected and ignored.

Metal got big outside the known the world for the most part.

If you really wanted to get close, you had to go to concerts and often travel quite long to see the good shows!

  • the times when MTV loved real music!!Now is full of rap & autotune crap

  • Today's guitarists just don't have this kind of power & taste in their playing, it's either cold & technical or snotty & punk-ass shit.

  • @Sabbathman1979 wow dude, that sums it all up, you're so right!! All the technical guitarists of today just can't can't catch a mad groove or have any sort of interesting melodies...

  • salve al hard rock........

    alabado sea el rock

  • This Is a Excellent Piece!

  • The hair, man. That's what gives him his power.

  • Didn't like this album that much (having heard two other types of Vinnie first though), but with the video and the music at the time it was still awesome/fit in with the beer commercial type guitar stuff that was coming out. I wish he would have used "Free" as his video tune that was awesome. He's got this classic rock vibe in a lot of his songs that is interesting. I just like it better when it's a little less obvious.

  • WOTAFAK, found out about this guy few days ago, his style of music is exactly what I love to hear, he instantly became my favourite guitarist

  • @nightmarereaperz MTV is NO LONGER MUSIC TELEVISION. REPLY BACK.

  • @kimv020887 its reality and black people television for the last 15 years or so

  • @sprinkler5802 MTV went downhill since 2005, dude.

  • @kimv020887 mtv has been fuckin garbage for longer then that, convince me otherwise

  • @sprinkler5802 why? back in the 80s, they really PLAYED music videos.

  • @kimv020887 im talkin like late 90's till now, just the last 15 years give or take

  • @sprinkler5802 okay.

  • @nightmarereaperz there's NO MORE MUSIC in MTV right now, nightmarereaperz. Its all REALITY shows. And nightmarereaperz, check out VH1 Classic, they have OLD MUSIC there. By the way I just subscribed to you. REPLY BACK.

  • if instrumental rock had a hymn, this song should be the one

  • So awesome.

  • i never knew MTV ever played good music.nowadays its just a bunch of gays singing or some ugly girl thinking she's hot

  • @nightmarereaperz to answer your question, nightmarereaperz. MTV did play REAL music back in the day. If you want some classic MTV stuff nightmarereaperz, check out VH1 Classic.

  • man, I wish more shredders would shred like this

Every shredder seems to only wanna sound like Mozart :P

  • If Joe Satriani could pick this is what he might sound like! Seriously though Vinnie is a lovely player, who plays with real taste and control but can unleash some firey stuff when called for. He has a great sense of melody too, particularly on his albums The Maze and Time Odyssey.

  • Vinnie Moore and Gary Moore (R.I.P.)........... two incredible guitarists.

  • Comment removed

  • @Fotzkopp1980 Exactly!!!

  • 34 ppl melted after pressing the "unlike" botton

  • I think the 80's were the happiest years ever 'cause only really professional musicians were famous there. And now we must listen to this crappy lady gaga, katy perry and other fags!

  • @doomcrusher1 As much as I dislike those musicians you mentioned, I find it a little irritating that you named two of the very few mainstream artists who actually write their own music. If you're going to take a piss out of the mainstream scene, target the jackasses who sit around cashing in while other people do their work for them, not the few who actually atleast have the integrity to compose their own material (no matter how lackluster and boring it may be)

  • @ShowNoMercy502 um... as far as I know the main songs of lady gaga were written by RedOne. But, maybe I'm wrong.

  • @doomcrusher1 She does collaborate with RedOne, mostly for her 'hits' but the majority of her albums are actually written by her, even if sometimes just in part. In the end, she still has more control over her music than 90% of the other mainstream artists who don't even try to shape their own musical direction.

I just find it funny that you named two of the artists who actually do write their own music, when you could have named a myriad of those who don't. :P

  • @doomcrusher1 Yeah! FUCK SNOOKI.

  • @doomcrusher1 not to mention how much of a pussy everyone is

when's the last time you saw a girl getting raped in a movie? saw a beheading or something with full blood and gore? or even heard the word nigger? fuck

same with videogames and tv shows

ps. the next time I hear "dont feel like picking up my phone, so leave a message at the tone" or "hark hark hark you're so jet lag" or the word "shots" over and over again for five minutes im gonna kill someone

  • @doomcrusher1 We must? I sure as hell don't!

  • @doomcrusher1 peak of musical talent and perfection of technique

  • soooooooooooo much ATTITUDE!

  • why have i never heard of this guy? as much shred guitar music i listen to i'm surprised. well consider me an official fan of mr. moore

  • one moore time

  • for any guy to say..:vinnie is my new hero" shows that he doesnt know much about the guitar..let alone playin it...

  • @rlalmuana14 check out his other stuff from the album "the mind's I" for some reason his best stuff is not shown much. you have to dig dipper into his music. this song nothing compared to what he has done.

  • Comment removed

  • @rlalmuana14 Please explain your comment because im finding it hard to make any sense of it. Why shouldn't people look up to Vinnie when it comes to guitar playing? I eagerly await your response:-))

  • @mordig oh they should...hes really good...:-)..I just assumed hes one of the 1st guys we look to.Not brand him a new hero. He deserves better than that....get me??

  • @rlalmuana14 aah fair enough

  • His CD :Defying Gravity" is his best IMHO

  • KILLER despite having a tone too similar to Satch and the Yng.

  • @CRexTasy This album came out back in'88-'89, so the comparison to Satriani is somewhat bogus-Joe put out 'Surfing' right around the same time, so i don't think Vinnie was emulating him in any way. As for Yngwie, who wasn't trying to play and sound like him back then

  • Comment removed

  • @rondill65 Surfing with the Alien came out in '87. Satch's first release, Dreaming #11, came out in '85. That was followed by his first full-length album Not of This Time in '86. Before that he was in the The Greg Kihn Band. And before all of that he was already well known in the guitar community due to his technical and teaching skills (taught Steve Vai, Kirk Hammet & Alex Skolnick, just to name a few). Nice resume!

  • @CRexTasy This guy blows them out of the water no question. Makes them look like droopy eyed armless children.

  • so underrated as a guitar god

  • Wow seems like yesterday I was replaying April sky on my walkman. It's easy to forget along with satriani vai and malmsteen, there where other great shredders like Moore mcalpine and batio, in those days guys like these had a record deal from shrapnel.

  • Vinnie Moore is my new hero

  • @MrFlexitron LOL

  • Fucking meltdown great

  • Quite orgasmic; thanks.

  • can anyone tab 2:21 fast lick??? would b appreciated

  • can anyone tab 2:24??? would b appreciated

  • vinnie is sooo underrated. many people especially who dont play guitar. expect the people to shred the neck so much that his fingers bleed. and many people will think this song isnt that good. when really this is just magnificant and amazing playing. also he plays so fluidly i mean its soooo smooth. thats really hard to do. vinnie is up there right next to george lynch and EVH. and he deserves the fan base of the entire world

  • his first album is a MUST HAVE

  • 32 retarded

  • @MrRhoads23 u mean 1:32 ?

  • @MrRhoads23 It's just a language problem. In French "dis" means "say", so I think what we got here is a couple frenchies trying to say they liked it.

    Thats the most

  • @coronet67 -thats the most logical thing I can figure.

    (cat stepped on keyboard)

  • @MrRhoads23 (Update) 35 retarded

  • @MrRhoads23 Now 35... :)-

  • you said "De- Tour" ?

  • O YEAH ESTE CUATE TOCA BIEN CHINGON

  • This dude totally shreds!!!! What happened to this guy?

  • @TheRockape64 UFO!!!!!

  • @TheRockape64 wat do u mean wat happened to him ? he had his album To the Core out last year.. and the album cover has an eye-melting guitar

  • increíble!!!!

  • Nada más y nada menos que el poder de la juventud de Vinnie Moore. Pero aunque ya no estan joven, sigue siendo igual de chingón que antes. :D

  • Love it !!!!

  • Direct decedent of God?

  • @UnknownSect333

    God's eldest brother

  • xD@UnknownSect333

  • 3:37-

  • ''steve vai having sex with the air around him'' - that was good :) . Too bad that V. Moore took a lot of Vai and Satriani influence for everything after ''time odysey''

  • j'adooooore ... ♥♥

  • How have I never heard of this band until now??

  • Vinnie Moore rox!

  • great skills, great composition, what more can we ask for!

  • 1991 - Frankston Hotel, Victoria - Vinman played his 'Meltdown' clinic to a packed room of about 30 people!! I was front row. At one point before the show I though I heard a fan running, only to see his fingers humming while warming up on an unplugged guitar!! What a monster player.

  • his hair reminds me of marty friedmans hair

  • he was in my city in 02/06/2010, but i didnt go there because i didnt know he was here. my teacher went and said that he rocks!

he bought a CD and 2 picks od him.

    We want u back!

    Criciuma, Santa Catarina, Brasil

  • vinnie fans...this song climax from beginning, no good. Vinnie style playing is too common among guitar player at tat time. Can comapred with Vai or Satch songs which is a real masterpieces. No heart feeling..

  • @flymyv you are SO wrong. i think satriani is the greatest player in the world but this song captures the attitude of hard rock perfectly.it makes me want to headbang and SHRED! thats what this song was meant for.

  • I don't know which one I want more: the ability to play this song or the hair.

  • @yonigga223 Best comment ever.

  • @yonigga223 Mate go for the guitar. For Vinnie it was Hair today-Bald tomorrow.

  • @yonigga223 found the hardest part to learn in this song was the crazy fast pentatonic lick at 0:20 took ages haha

  • @5tartawar Aeolian, not penta :P

  • @yonigga223 Is it too much to ask for both?

  • @yonigga223 the hair would be much harder to attain.

  • best vid ever

  • Dear Lord, please somehow remove Vinnie Moore's arms, and reattach them to me, and give me his skills. Amen

  • Dam Vinnie gives Vai a run for his money with that whammy lol Why is he so underated, Vinnie is so sick!!!

  • vinnie moore is so badass, love it!!

  • Holy shit i totally remember this video! fuck yeah!

  • hey! i've made my cover check it out, what do you think??

  • I have the exact same guitar except in black, Fender Heartfield Talon 1 made in japan 1992 fuckin guitar kicks ass!

  • Amazing technique, but... somehow boring. Just so generic.

  • sick!!!!

  • Just awesome.

  • damn im glad dean took gave him his own line of signature guitars. the guy definitely deserves it and the vinman line is simply exquisite! he has the technicality of any other guitar virtuoso with the soul and technique all of his own. classically trained theory doesn't hurt either! he is the perfect musician with the humility and love for his fans that makes him admirable. kind of like how yngwie would be if he got his head out of his ass XD

  • @Musician4life89 Vinnie only has one signature guitar by dean. He doesn't have his own line of signature guitars and he was classically influenced not trained .

I wish i could afford his vinman 2000, but i managed to put in a fast track , and dean shredhead in the bridge.

    Vinnie rocks!!!

  • @maxomilian he also have an ibanez signature, a fender heartfield talon a musicman too.. (all vinnie moore signature)

  • @aintnaive Im pretty sure vinnie only had signature models with ibanez and Dean.

Musicman and fender were just custom .

You must be a pretty big vinnie fan because i can recall replying to one of your comments in another of his videos .lol

    Rock on!!

Vinnie if your reading this , get back to work on another album already.

  • @maxomilian my mistake your right they were custom talon 1, 2 ,3, 3 r , 4 , 5 keep on rocking!!!!!

  • Total mastery of wood&steel! The man's technique is flawless!

  • Exelente, un maestro.

  • 3:25 he looks like kirk hammelt there

  • Does anyone know what gear (particularly amp) Vinnie Moore used to record the Meltdown album? I like the tone

  • @bluze86 to answer my own question, it was a laney

  • Hell yea! im glad i own a black Heartfield tuned to D for old school Death Metal.
