PREFER THE CAT 1000000 times......it´s more interestring and lovely. The aibo is just a toy and CAN´T replace a real animal. Animals are unpredictable and can surprise U all the time. He is a lucky guy to have such an expensive toy but he shoudn´t ignore his cat. The cat is cheapper and could be FUNNIER =)......

This aibo is probably running Mind 2 software. Mind2 came on a 32MB memory stick. Mind 3 comes on a 128MB memory stick, so there's plenty more speech. Mind 3 Aibos will talk a lot, especially if you talk to them. they can also answer a few questions (are you hungry? how are you? what are you doing?). Mind 2 will only talk when you're using the menus or playing a game that has speech.

No. Sony stopped producing them in 2006 I am afraid. But you can always try and find Aiboworld or check eBay if you are seriously thinking of adopting an Aibo. Depending on the model you want, an second hand Aibo will set you back between 500 and 2000 dollars, give or take. I am really glad I got mine last year as I've been dreaming of owning one for years. They are really amazing robotic companions!

I love the Aibo, this is why Sony wins in so many ways. When it came out in 1999 people could not believe it, Sony had revolutionized robots in a remarkable and fun way. I really hope they can develop another with far greater intelligence, because I can see it becomming a household must have of the future.
