Nightclub fire's can happen anywhere and at anytime.Yes some nightclubs arent up to the safety codes but no one ever gave a shit until it is to late.I hope that everyone who survived has moved on with there live's even though it must be heartbreaking even to this day.Just so people know that even in the us we have had nightclub fires that killed a bunch of people so whoever think's that it was caused because it was in a forgien country is fucking high.I wish you all the best.

@starrocket666 100% Right. The Station in Rhode Island..100+ I believe..burned to death and that whole event from first sparks to last person to die took probably 3-4 minutes. I have always imagined how I would have felt if my baby sister (who LOVED that band that was playing that night) was in there once minute having fun and dancing then 5 minutes later the fire is on TV. :'-(

Any current 2011 news? I remember reading two years ago that 4 or 5 club operation guys were charged, along with the lead singer from Burn (AWESOME band too) for apparently lighting off a sky rocket on the stage which lit material on fire up in the ceiling. Now here in February 2011 I can't find any current info anywhere while searching on google. Was there ever a trial on this? Anyone ever sent to jail??? Did the lead singer go to jail?

Very stupid. All rescue vehicles have sirens on making impossible to hear rescues radio and any kind of negotiation. Rescue workers dont stay cool the run everywhere without clear aim. I quess in Thailand they don`t practise for catastrophe also preventing and fire inspecting is ignored. Fire mens are more tube-petes who throw injured to the stage of pick up thrucks that have the red lights and big noise. Mai Pen Rai. Last disco fire was on 2006 in Crocodile in Phuket. When is the next?

In my country discos are inspected. Fire trucks switch of the sirens when arrived the scene to prevent the panic. Fire mens practise for the catastrophe often. People critisize the things and thus we get thigs better. That is the most reason west is richer and better place to live than Thailand. You can not receive critic wihtout angriness. Nothing change.

I didnt say west is richer because safety standard. Because of innovations the west is richer if yuo even know what it means. In asia there is no innovations. In japan and china somehow but not in Thailand.

I think it's because of traffic jam, they couldn't get to the scene. look at the video, they move very slowly due to panic clubbers driving away and also other emergency vehicles.
