You've got your concepts confused. The NDAA allows for indefinite detention, not martial law. Martial law means the total suspension of the Constitution. The president already had the right to do that, and if Bush had had his way, we would have experienced it.
Also, the NDAA allows *any* president to detain *anyone* for *any* reason. You can be walking down the street in Lagos and the NDAA allows the US to pick you up and detain you indefinitely. What you should worry about now is SOPA.

You've got your concepts confused. The NDAA allows for indefinite detention, not martial law. Martial law means the total suspension of the Constitution. The president already had the right to do that, and if Bush had had his way, we would have experienced it.
Also, the NDAA allows *any* president to detain *anyone* for *any* reason. You can be walking down the street in Lagos and the NDAA allows the US to pick you up and detain you indefinitely. What you should worry about now is SOPA.

Ok so Im going to put it out there. I vote in all elections Period. The reason is, if you dont vote your demographic will never be catered too. Which is why politicians cater to who they cater too, half are the 1%. The power begins with the people who vote (that's what they mean by people have the power), then we vote those people in our area that represent Congress. Then they are the "true" voters of the president. We don't directly vote for the president, the people we vote to represent us (our two state representatives in the Senate) vote for him. So the problem is the people we chose to represent us. Congress can override the president, so its important we choose right.

Republicans give support to those who already have plenty. I.e. the rich. And deregulating government subsidies. I currently make a fine living, and i personally have no problem with paying a few extra tax dollars so that way my neighbor across the street has access to welfare so he can put food on the table for his kids. Remember what happened about 2 months ago at the Iraq embassy? 2 members of al-qeada blew up a car bomb out front and fired RPG's at the building. This bill makes it so the millitary police at embassies like this can investigate nearby areas immediatly for terrorist threat rather then wait for CIA agent to show up and do it. Essentially, the government could ALREADY just do everything this bill now allows, its just on paper. The short answer, if your not building bombs in ur garage, ull be fine

Martial Law is defined as "imposition of military rule by military authorities over designated regions on an emergency basis". Basically meaning, youll see a H1 hummer rolling down your street, millitary controlled curfew, and random inspections by the armed forces. This bill was enacted to protect US territories and property around the world that are under constant terrorist threat.
