I sympathize with you. However, small business owners will not do any major hiring until after Obama leaves office. That is a plain fact. Your anger is misplaced. You need to be in front of the White House protesting.
@Txmpest its everywhere bro our world if being fucked by the large governments with little decisions for the "99%" to make for there own. these people of the occupy movement ,i hope are gunna unfuck the world....have fun being a puppet the rest of your life
I'm amazed at how scared some people are of REAL change. The loose-lipped political flip-flop change-that-never-occurs seems to be preferable to some of the commentators below rather than serious dialogue towards lasting change. Oh I forgot, I should shut up and go back to work instead and rely on benevolent Corporations to look after me just as they have done all these years.
of other ceo's care what your doing they do not give a rats ass what so every.First you bring in a kitchen sink then you bring in a a heated tent whats next .It did not work in NY or LA and if i was the mayor i would let you live there for a month and thats it .It is only a matter of time before you get kick out and in a sense i hope you do
Ok first of all i totally understand that CEO'S in this country make way to much and i totally agree with you on that and i am also for the freedom of speech and all that. What i am toatlly against what your doing is not working if you look it is like trying to fight city city and trust me it is not going to work.As a fellow Bostonian you need to pack up and for the people that have homes and jobs just pack up and go home .Do you really think that people like Gates, and Zuckberg and number
This is what a generation of Political Correctness has created. A bunch of lazy ass losers that have zero concept of what the real world is all about. An army of PC kids that were always told everyone is equal, and that they were so very special.
Now they are faced with reality, i.e. the real world; they have ZERO coping skills, and all they know how to do is have a "hissy" fit and scream that they want it all handed to them on a silver platter.
I think all the grungy, stinky ass hippy people are giving this protest a bad image. They will jump on any protest bandwaggon for the soul purpose of protesting no matter what it's about.
I believe there should be a separation of government and corporation, just as there is the supposed separation of government and religion, however these people just don't know what the hell they are doing or stand for lol.
since when is it wrong to be financially wealthy? wealthy people have the highest taxes. I think its more bullshark that people can now ride unemployment for 3 years!!! WTF??? why do people think they can have a free ride?
@Citizen5667 I disagree (dependent). EVERYONE should have access to health care, education, work, a home, food, water. The government is not the problem, unless we cannot repair it. To repair it, money should not be a factor in elections. If we cannot repair it, it should be absolutely destroyed so we can rebuild.
No... How would a smaller government help in any way? Obviously your just stating a common idea that most republicans represent, but is there any reason why a smaller government would be better? What you would be doing is just giving more power to the corporations. In theory; the power and money they receive should go back to the middle class. But in reality all of that money is being invested outside of this country (because it's cheaper), destroying the middle class... So yeah.
Government would destroy every freedom we have if they could. A limited government gives people the power to make the government work for them and not the other way around. If you let government take over, they take over every choice you make. At least with corporations you can boycott, you can't really boycott governments.
On a second note, government programs are always a failure... Cash for Clunkers.
@joziprue96 More government means more unsustainable pensions for the ten more people it takes to do one person's job in the private sector. Do they accomplish more? No. Does it cost more? HELL YES. By your logic, the disagreements in congress would be solved by expanding congress. That's some sound rationale you got there.
These are the richest and most privileged 'poor' people in the world. They carry cell phones, use computers, shop at grocery stores, drive cars - all made by the corporations the speak against. It is the age of entitlement.
@karend51 I agree, the Americans below the "poverty" line typically live better than the AVERAGE European. I was pointing out one of the occutard's bad grammar when she said "I have friends that are well off and they're struggling." She's obviously an oxymoron herself.
A clear indication she is so far away from reality - and clearly ignorant. We have been consuming and consuming - paying with Credit Cards and loans. It is time to face reality. In my parent's generation - you didn't buy something unless you had the money to pay for it. This generation has been raised on credit debt. designer clothes, restaurants, all the luxuries and privileges available to them as kids. Time to face reality - and the truth hurts.
@karend51 Absolutely! As is evidenced by the amount of student loan debt. My parents went back to college during my teen years. Three kids at home, two 40-something adults going back to school and graduated with 0 in debt. My grandfather never had a credit card, car loan, or mortgage. They borrow all of that money useless degrees and then they're upset when they can't find a job in women's studies. If they want a better life, stop protesting and start producing.
@karend51 Both the poor and middle class are the 99%. They are the workers who built those cell phones, computers, grocery stores, and cars. Yet many of them live paycheck to paycheck or worse, (debt, foreclosure, no healthcare etc.) The owners of those corporations are millionaires and do no productive work except perhaps plan how to further exploit labor and the environment to accumulate more wealth for themselves. Who can blame us for wanting to keep more of what we produce?
@karend51 First of all, the movement is mostly made up of middle class Americans. And if you think the middle class in America has nothing to protest about, then you are very misinformed. The idea that having enough money to use cheap, mass-produced consumer electronics means that you have nothing to complain about is laughable.
@karend51 Yeah sure maybe were not a third world country but that's not the point here.. This is a fight for our rights, for our way of life. We occupy because we deserve those things. Your short-sighted if you think were fighting for those things your completely wrong THAT IS NOT THE POINT HERE. Its about PREVENTION. Its about our freedoms. If we had our way there wouldnt be third-world ountries. I hate karens remark
I can't figure out if this video is supposed to support the Occupy "movement" or not. If it is, they should have found some intelligent people. All I hear is squawking rhetoric regurgitated from the idiotic hippies that started this. It didn't make sense then, and it doesn't make sense now.
I agree with the ideas people are talking about: how Obama bailed out the banks but not the people etc. However what scares me about this is the fact that most of these people, esp. the younger ones, seem to want the government to solve their problems. if they want to rise up they should use their consumer spending to radicalize the one power they have: where they spend their money. don't use any bank that took tarp money etc.
you are all the ninnies that voted for the fabian socialist Barack Obama. How's that hope and change working for ya, now? Ahh, but you didn't bargain for this, huh? Grow up! Elections have consequences. Give real hope a chance, starting w/ voting repub. at the top and then in massachusetts. Don't keep bashing your head in a thousand times, getting the same result. Stop being useful idiots and tools of Obama, socialists and the new world order.
Those brave people who are occupying Boston have disabled my ability to comment on their Facebook page. Apparently the free exchange of ideas only extends to comments that buy what they're selling. No alternative views allowed. What a great cause!
Are things getting pretty rough for you these days? Is it mostly about money - the lack of it? Then grab a lucky fattened Blimp-O-Cash and rough him up. Shake the money out of his SUV pockets and feed your kids, buy the medicine for your moms and dads, take back a square of land to sleep on, and at least buy wood for your tent man. Aim low at Target, BP, Macy's, Exxon, Starbucks, McDonald's, Walmart, Sony, Chevy, Toyota, GE, LG, XXL, super sized, triple thick, made in China America. Or die!
These people are angry at the wrong people, Wall Street supports Barack Obama! Wall Street supports Barney Fwank! Yes, I said Fwank.
I wasn't in favor of the bail outs, at the time it was going on the bank I worked for was forced to accept 25 BILLION dollars. I can remember the day I read that the bank had received permission to repay the money. That should tell you something.
Lower taxes for everyone will do far more to promote recovery than spending money we don't have. Get a clue, people
1:00 Why are you protesting wall street then? Protest the people that make the laws, in front of their homes or place of work. What's wall street gonna do?
Hilarious. Slackers on parade. I've never seen so many people willing to admit on camera that they are unable to provide for themselves, take care of themselves, and get up in the morning to improve their own situations.
It's everyone else's fault but mine. Boo hoo. the bank didn't give me a mortgage modification. Boo hoo. Pay your loan or move out!
We want Glogal change ! Not some temporary fix based on current economic system.Infinite growth on a planet with finite resources, and we running out of it all.
so let me get this straight, opposing big corporations, big business, but every single one of these tools have smart phones and are more than likely got the local starbucks record numbers that day...what a bunch of tools, you can see tons of people in the background either tweeting or facebooking into their smartphones.
Lots of great commentary here esp. ends of min 8/start 9 and from the "grannies" -- We have lost hope and need to find that voice of hope again. Obama and elected reps -- listen up and speak to your people!
"I don't like greedy people" -- wow, that's a fucking shocker, I don't like people who smell like ass while I'm in line at the post office, protest that, how about tailgaters? No, how about shitty kids who blast their shit music in their cars? Take on problems that you can actually solve. "oh, I bet if we protest at a millionaires house, they will feel really, really bad about themselves...." Are you fucking kidding me?
Wonder why is all white people at these protests??
People surprise me! Occupy is opposing corporate overreach, tea party is opposing government involvement. Do you not see that those grievences are aimed at the elite, that has trashed consience minded people. All those who somewhat have realized this are protesting, the rest will be coersed to sacrifice more. The scary part, both will most likely be pitted against eachother.
@Independentshark IF YOUVE BEEN OUT OF WORK FOR 3 YEARS YOUR A RETARD! THERES JOBS OUT THERE! THANK GOD IM RICH AND DONT GIVE A SHIT EITHER WAY! WHY DONT YOU GO OCCUPY WITH THE REST OF THE LAZY ASSES AND SEE IF ANYONE GIVES A SHIT! SLACKERS ON PARADE!
@SL8R71 Well lots of people give a shit, but I agree with some of what she said. Its not that she cant get a job with a Masters its that she cant get a job that pays what she thinks she deserves for having a masters. If felons can get jobs she should be able to find one. There are serious problems with the system but some people are so high on themselves they wont take the lower paying jobs and then complain there are no jobs. If you make 80K and lose your job you may have to take less to work.
That old guy who says he is occupying for his grandchildren does not realize they will probably be protesting whatever changes are made Now. Its sad, these protest are futile since these kinds of protest were happening at the beginning of the 20th Century.
I think Noam Chomsky put his finger on it: The root of the problem lies in the corruption of campaign finance. If Obama attacked this, if he showed himself willing to sacrifice the Democrats' billion dollar 2012 campaign budget for the sake of a cleaner campaign finance laws, I might actually vote for the guy. Anyway, this is where I think the pressure should be focused: Good on everybody for trying to make a difference!!
Second off, if you think the problem is Obama you need to be doing a great deal of research. Obama is merely the puppet following orders. And before you reply with an irrationally angry response again, I urge you to look into it, brother.
@jminyard504 "Slandering people"???..........LMFAO. I have looked into it........"brother". Maybe you're the one that needs to do some research. Obozo, and his DC cabal, with their head in their ass socialist policies, i.e. endless entitlements for votes, are the real problem,..............not people who've done well economically, or corporations.
Obozo is a puppet, following orders??......Really!!.....and whose "orders" is he following??
I have a feeling that you love Obozo, and voted for him.
Obozo? No. And certainly not Obama either. Because you obviously know me? I've done my research. The only difference between you and me is I've clearly gone further into it than you have. But, instead of taking the time to delve deeper into it, you've decided to restate your original point. Do what you do, though. I've done my part, and if you choose to just leave it at that, you have at it.
@Dealit707 LOL, just Obama? Boy, you have no idea what you're talking about! Obama is following fucking orders like a dumbass, doing the complete opposite that his campaign was for. He's a continuation of Bush, this two party system, work together in a way by helping these corporations that do indeed RUN this country.
@BrammellToe HAS THERE EVER BEEN A PRESIDENT THAT LIED AND TOLD EVERYONE WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR TO GET INTO OFFICE? NONE OF THEM GIVE A SHIT, THEY JUST CARE ABOUT GETTING TO BE PRESIDENT SO THEY AND THEIR FAMILY ARE TAKIN CARE OF FOR LIFE. I MEAN COME ON LEAVE IT TO ANIGGER TO MOVE HIS MOTHER IN LAW INTO THE WHITE HOUSE! I WONDER IF THE PUT A COUCH ON THE FRONT PORCH! NO I DONT VOTE AND IM RICH SO I DONT GIVE A RATS ASS ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT! I LIVE MY LIFE REGARDLESS OF WHOS PRESIDENT!
The 99% have been excluded from politics so now we are blazing a new path. The Democratic and Republican Parties cannot tell us to limit our aspirations. It's funny to read all the right-wing haters on youtube who have no actual critique. The Tea Party movement hasn't accomplished anything but mobilize votes for the Republicans. We can do much better. This new movement is genuinely grassroots (not backed by Fox News or the Koch brothers) and egalitarian. We will make history in the street.
Looks like this thread has been abandoned by the little nazis. They have finally turned their hole card up, and it is a RACE CARD! They hate all Jews!
This is a good thing for these empty heads. They will freeze their asses off tonight , some will get a good ass kicking from the police, and arrested, and eventually will realize they are only about 9%, NOT 99. It's a good learning experience for them. Bout time they learn SOMETHING!
It's not these kids faults that they are stupid. WE have let them down. They have been indoctrinated by the liberal agenda leaders in our school system. This is why the Rockefeller foundation funded the women's rights movement. To get another 50% workers to tax, and get the kids in school earlier to start brainwashing them. Funny how Pelosi thinks these protests are cool, but the Tea Party PEACEFUL gatherings were NOT. What a tool.
A masters degree is not a guarantee that you've earned a job. Go flip burgers at McDonalds. These liberal shit heads really piss me off. I'm not well off, I struggle week to week to provide for my family. But I work hard and do it MYSELF! I don't expect hand outs nor do I look for them. If I need more money, I get a second job! I don't like it but it's what I have have to do. I PROVIDE FOR MYSELF! i DON'T EXPECT SOMEONE TO PROVIDE FOR ME!
Now the truth is coming out. Liberal organizers are PAYING latino illegal immigrants to protest in DC. SEIU is getting involved. Doing the jobs Americans don't want to do LOL. Unions are bringing in supplies. Now can you just IMAGINE if the Tea Party was camped out there, and I had the militia bring in food and water? HOLY SHIT! You are the same 9% who caused trouble across Europe. You DON'T represent 99% of Americans. They're laughing at you clowns.
Shows how much you know. I've been paying SS since I was 10 years old. I'm self employed. My business has been off 50% for the past 3 years. I can't collect unemployment. I get NO compensation, and I pay TWICE the amount of SS you do. When my knee was broken, the state said tuff shit, when I wanted a LOAN to get it fixed. A LOAN. Screw all you losers. Go get a fkn job there's plenty around. You're too self aggrandizing to take one.
I KNOW you're NOT the 99% because I'm part of the 3% and we think you're a bunch of ass hats. Geez! One woman has a masters degree, NO job, and she's JUST NOW figuring out congress is corrupt! I've lived in Boston most of my life. Dear God, if EVER there was going to be a terrorist attack on the city, LET IT BE NOW. All we'll lose is the moonbats who elected Obummer.
OCCUPY Wall Street: OCCUPY Boston: LMAO! EVERY news reporter interviewing spokes people from these groups asks them the same question. "WHAT DO YOU WANT?" These idiots are CLUELESS! They have NO idea WTF they're doing. Nothing but a bunch of unemployed ass hat clowns with nothing better to do with their time and my money
@LarryHarveyMusic it's not only your money. If you get laid off, you'd like some of that money too, right? Before you bash people, remember; this is for all of us! Or maybe, when we make the change, we keep you out if it. I mean, why would you want help from us idiots?
we are loosing the war, we the 99% of this planet, and if you don't want to loos the war you got to fight back... and in a war some blood may be spread. Think about and act, people!!
People should be occupying DC, they are responsible for the collapse, not Wall Street. Havent any of you done research? I mean your ignorance is truly unbelievable.
Where do you think Wall Street gets their money? Who writes laws? Wall Street or congress? If Wall Streets whispering in their ear, the power still remains with congress and our elected representatives. Its their responsibility to say no.
Dear lord no one protesting understands economics.
you know why those companies have so much money? because lots of people buy their products. You want them to just give you money back? Thats whats greedy.
coorporations get the tax breaks they want because the people we vote into office are weak and let them get away with whatever they want. Demanding that they give you back money is wrong, if you want them to pay their fair share then vote for people who will make them pay their fair share and not raise everyones taxes
Most of the "non-political" people are motivated by their own individual misery, either losing jobs, homes, health care, social safety net or health care. The over-arching problem lies in the US having become an over-reaching military empire, spending 50 to 60 cents of each tax dollar on war. And empire rot from internal corruption. The foreign wars and military empire is blowing back on ordinary people in a myriad of ways.
Ron Paul is our only help in ending the Fed and restoring the Liberty of the Individual. Dont let this turn into a call for more goverment and less personal liberty. End the bail outs by ending the Goverment involvment in banking!!!! when a bank fails it should fail!!! Thats the free market. If you ask the goverment to protect deposits then you give the bank a blank check to do what they want and be reckless with the peoples money! End it!
@DillonDee1 and nore will Obama, its all an act and not what will fix this problem. The govement transfered that wealth, and its the Goverment that should pay for this crime. Both Parties!!!!
Aaaand, after watching this whole thing, I still didn't hear an answer to what these people expect to see happen by partying in a park for a long period of time...I mean, really...what does that solve? It isn't helping people find a job, that's for sure. Does look fun, though, I gotta admit.
I think some of these people need to understand that marketable skills are more important than a college education when it comes to getting a job...I'm a pilot and got a job because I learned to fly airplanes and market my skill-set to employers, not because I have a degree.
This is just a group of smelly, ignorant, dumbfuck leftists who don't work, don't bathe, and instead want the government to take care of their needs.
Sorry, losers, but three years of Obama have done enough damage to this country. He is out next year, and his and your ideas of ruining America will be tossed on the ash heap of history.
Stand aside, move away, get lost. Your time, and Obama's, is up.
So now I Am crying. I never knew, being a very poor disabled person on SSI and medicaid, trying to go to school and dropping out because I couldn't afford to eat, or pay bills. I never knew that people actually cared about me...and those like me who want a life. All I want is a future. I dream of even a trailer home...something of my own. Food every day. Helping others. You people...you brought my dreams back. I had given up. I have watched people die from the greed forgotten. Thank you all.

@mriel1989 If the people in that crowd represented 99% of America, then I'm amazed we can feed ourselves and keep the lights on as a nation. Hell, I'm amazed we can tie our shoes, given what a collection of dysfunctional parasites those tools of George Soros are.
My AFQT score was 89. Math drug me down, it's been a while since geometry class.
@Halo4Lyf Hello, the thing is, with all due respect. Your parents were able to save and invest but times have changed. Jobs are precarious now and people loosing their income because of good middle class jobs going overseas to China and India. What is the goverment doing to help the poor and middle class. Giving billions to banks so they can vote them saves millions in bonuses and moves 1000's of jobs overseas. I don't think you parents lived with that fear like millions of Americans now do!
@faithandfreedom My parents got married in 1976 and had managed to save and invest throughout the Carter years and all the ups and downs between my birth in 1989 and when I entered college in 2008. And that was on two public school teacher's salaries.
And because of their responsibility and good sense, I apparently owe everyone else in my generation a living, huh? It's notions like that that make me happy the Framer's wrote the Second Amendment.
@faithandfreedom And as for what the government did to help the poor and middle class: SS, Medicare/Medicaid, Section 8, and EBT. Oh, and does the CRA sound familiar? It was that law that FORCED the banks to make home loans to people who could never hope to pay them back, based on the lie that Fanny and Freddie would guarantee the loans. The bailouts were necessitated by circumstances created by government intervention - all in the name of "helping the poor."
Clinton discontinued Glass Steagall and opened the gates for monstrous corruption and collusion between the FED and Commercial Banking and Hedge Funds. The crisis is not about capitalism - it's about criminals and crony-capitalism and the FED.
@Onshorebruce Heroes? Smelly ignorant leftist assholes are NOT heroes. They are just smelly ignorant leftist assholes wasting their time in a park. All 1,000 of them.
Wow, this is big, this is great. Do it, peacefully and let's all do it right, then we will make a change, for the poor, for the homeless and the middle class. Let's all do it in Peace. Peace will change the world. This is really beautiful. PEACE.
@tymjar You people realized you're nowhere near 99% of the population, right? If you were, then there'd be seats in Congress belonging to the American Communist Party.
I'm not really worried about the crony capitalists in office. They can be replaced with the next election.
I AM worried about you lot though, because you're a mob demanding wealth that doesn't belong to you. More folks than you think will side with the authorities if it means defending their property and livelihoods.
@Halo4Lyf The US political system has a playing field that is slanted to large, wealthy interests who are abusing and misusing the welfare the government hands to them. The 1% are getting fat off what has been given to them by virtue of a slanted system that needs fixed.
They influence information, engage in highly sophisticated perception management, and campaign to put the people they favour into power with that money. The 'mob' demands reigns on this government enabled culture of greed.
@staolin Large, wealthy interests... like George Soros? Or Jeffrey Immelt, CEO of GE and sitting on Obama's board of economic advisors? Please, it's the Left that engages in crony capitalism, not the Right in America.
The bank bailouts should've never happened, I'd agree with you about that. But the Federal government never should've forced them to make sup-prime housing loans in the first place, nor should it be engaging in ANY sort of social welfare/engineering programs at all.
@Halo4Lyf The Bailout was a Bush plan, that was completed by the Obama administration. As far as 'Crony Capitalism' goes, the Right has a lot of Utopian thinkers when it comes to capitalism. The different between the LIBERAL-Left and the Right is that the Liberal-Left has a realistic view of capitalism; a system that needs proactive regulation and intervention to work. Now, as am ember of the SOCIALIST-left, I think both positions are ignorant. Capitalism is untenable and needs to be abolished.
@Tougemaster06 Actually the bailout was a Democratic Congress plan, since they appropriate funds. Bush was an idiot for going along with it, I won't defend him there.
"Now, as am ember of the SOCIALIST-left, I think both positions are ignorant. Capitalism is untenable and needs to be abolished."
If that's your position, then war between us (and our two philosophical camps) is inevitable. Ever been under aimed rifle fire? It's not fun. Just how far are you willing to go to support socialism?
@Halo4Lyf TARP was signed into law under Bush. Secondly, I am a democratic socialist not some Leninist. No one is talking about armed revolution silly. I will support socialism till the day I die.

These are the richest and most privileged 'poor' people in the world. They carry cell phones, use computers, shop at grocery stores, drive cars - all made by the corporations the speak against. It is the age of entitlement.
karend51 4 months ago 11
@karend51 I agree, the Americans below the "poverty" line typically live better than the AVERAGE European. I was pointing out one of the occutard's bad grammar when she said "I have friends that are well off and they're struggling." She's obviously an oxymoron herself.
cobclark 4 months ago
@cobclark
Time to face reality - and the truth hurts.
karend51 4 months ago
@karend51 Absolutely! As is evidenced by the amount of student loan debt. My parents went back to college during my teen years. Three kids at home, two 40-something adults going back to school and graduated with 0 in debt. My grandfather never had a credit card, car loan, or mortgage. They borrow all of that money useless degrees and then they're upset when they can't find a job in women's studies. If they want a better life, stop protesting and start producing.
cobclark 4 months ago
@karend51 Both the poor and middle class are the 99%. They are the workers who built those cell phones, computers, grocery stores, and cars. Yet many of them live paycheck to paycheck or worse, (debt, foreclosure, no healthcare etc.) The owners of those corporations are millionaires and do no productive work except perhaps plan how to further exploit labor and the environment to accumulate more wealth for themselves. Who can blame us for wanting to keep more of what we produce?
peopleunite 3 months ago
@karend51 First of all, the movement is mostly made up of middle class Americans. And if you think the middle class in America has nothing to protest about, then you are very misinformed. The idea that having enough money to use cheap, mass-produced consumer electronics means that you have nothing to complain about is laughable.

Anyway, this is where I think the pressure should be focused: Good on everybody for trying to make a difference!!

jminyard504 5 months ago
@jminyard504 "Slandering people"???..........LMFAO. I have looked into it........"brother". Maybe you're the one that needs to do some research. Obozo, and his DC cabal, with their head in their ass socialist policies, i.e. endless entitlements for votes, are the real problem,..............not people who've done well economically, or corporations.
Obozo is a puppet, following orders??......Really!!.....and whose "orders" is he following??

The 99% have been excluded from politics so now we are blazing a new path. The Democratic and Republican Parties cannot tell us to limit our aspirations. It's funny to read all the right-wing haters on youtube who have no actual critique. The Tea Party movement hasn't accomplished anything but mobilize votes for the Republicans. We can do much better. This new movement is genuinely grassroots (not backed by Fox News or the Koch brothers) and egalitarian. We will make history in the street.

Halo4Lyf 5 months ago
@Halo4Lyf Hello, the thing is, with all due respect. Your parents were able to save and invest but times have changed. Jobs are precarious now and people loosing their income because of good middle class jobs going overseas to China and India. What is the goverment doing to help the poor and middle class. Giving billions to banks so they can vote them saves millions in bonuses and moves 1000's of jobs overseas. I don't think you parents lived with that fear like millions of Americans now do!
faithandfreedom 5 months ago
@faithandfreedom My parents got married in 1976 and had managed to save and invest throughout the Carter years and all the ups and downs between my birth in 1989 and when I entered college in 2008. And that was on two public school teacher's salaries.
And because of their responsibility and good sense, I apparently owe everyone else in my generation a living, huh? It's notions like that that make me happy the Framer's wrote the Second Amendment.
Halo4Lyf 5 months ago 2

All 1,000 of them.

iT'S TIME! ...and for those jackboots ("New York's finest"), on the Brooklyn Bridge: You've got the guns, but we, the 99%, we have the numbers.
tymjar 5 months ago

The 'mob' demands reigns on this government enabled culture of greed.
staolin 5 months ago
@staolin Large, wealthy interests... like George Soros? Or Jeffrey Immelt, CEO of GE and sitting on Obama's board of economic advisors? Please, it's the Left that engages in crony capitalism, not the Right in America.
The bank bailouts should've never happened, I'd agree with you about that. But the Federal government never should've forced them to make sup-prime housing loans in the first place, nor should it be engaging in ANY sort of social welfare/engineering programs at all.
Halo4Lyf 5 months ago 19
@Halo4Lyf The Bailout was a Bush plan, that was completed by the Obama administration. As far as 'Crony Capitalism' goes, the Right has a lot of Utopian thinkers when it comes to capitalism. The different between the LIBERAL-Left and the Right is that the Liberal-Left has a realistic view of capitalism; a system that needs proactive regulation and intervention to work. Now, as am ember of the SOCIALIST-left, I think both positions are ignorant. Capitalism is untenable and needs to be abolished.

@Tougemaster06
Well thanks for displaying your ignorance regarding capitalism for everyone to see ;)

@treysparker Says the free market fundamentalist. So how does the god-like powers of the market fix everything?
Tougemaster06 5 months ago
@Tougemaster06 Actually the bailout was a Democratic Congress plan, since they appropriate funds. Bush was an idiot for going along with it, I won't defend him there.
"Now, as am ember of the SOCIALIST-left, I think both positions are ignorant. Capitalism is untenable and needs to be abolished."
If that's your position, then war between us (and our two philosophical camps) is inevitable. Ever been under aimed rifle fire? It's not fun. Just how far are you willing to go to support socialism?
Halo4Lyf 5 months ago
@Halo4Lyf TARP was signed into law under Bush. Secondly, I am a democratic socialist not some Leninist. No one is talking about armed revolution silly. I will support socialism till the day I die.
