Because river bottoms are typically good ground to farm. So it is nessecary to live there so people like you to can eat. I'm gonna give a quick lesson on politics to all of you who are pullin the bush card. Byron Dorgon, Kent Conrad, and Earl Pomeroy are all democrats. I'm coming from Buffalo to help sandbag. We here in Buffalo,NY heard the river could crest at 43 feet now. You guys in Fargo have lot's of support coming from Buffalo. Our National Gaurd is on stand by to rush in to your area. I'm taking an Amtrek train as we speak and I'm just passing Chicaco. I will be in Fargo by about 2pm EDT or 1pm CDT.

yo im from dickinson and the heart rivers pretty full up and now that we got 18 more inches of snow and it froze again im sure its only gona get worse..i know bismarcks bad i never remember bismarck ever flooding my whole life and im 19..but fargo is gona get the worse of it with a flood stage of 20 so feet and the rivers cresting a 41 feet on saturday..yet another record breaking year..rivals 97
